Me and my Mother sat in for dinner on February 8th, The restaurant was nearly packed but we were seated on the west side of the restaurant in a quiet spot Our Waitress, Peggy, from the get go acted like our presence was an inconvenience to her I ordered Clams Fra Diavolo ((its basically the Mussels and Calamari Fra Diavolo on the menu except with clams)) She gave me attitude insisting she could not substitute anything in my meal My mom ordered the clam chowder as an appetizer, it was loaded with Pepper so she sent it back after waiting 15 minutes for Peggy to acknowledge us even when we were trying to get her attention besides that the food was great, However, when it came time to receive the bill, she came over to us with a handheld bill device Stood over me as I was paying the bill and she made sure to say “ Make sure you tip me a good tip” We felt extremely pressured into tipping her, So we tipped her 18% (($23.87)) Then she dropped my credit card back onto the table and walked away Me and my family have been coming to Turners for many years and this is the second time within six months we’ve had a problem with this waitress Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $100+ Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 4

I regret to report it’s very subpar food. The staff were very nice, and I won’t call them out at all. Pleasant and courteous throughout. But the seafood was criminally bland. We had a clam roll and one of their haddock entries. The former was mushy and seemed to be made out of chopped clams, and the latter was an under $10 value item we could have made at home but we'd never have made it so unappealing and dull. The wait time was also crazy long, but I could see they were a bit in the weeds. 4.5. I’ve been here a lot and the seafood is consistently good. Cooked to perfection. Large portions in most cases. Lively atmosphere but not too loud.

My husband and I recently discovered Turners. We have been there several times over the last few months. Service Is always great, last night we went and ordered the fish and chips which is one of my favorites. I was so disappointed. The batter was over cooked on the outside and raw on the inside it was too thick and the fish was mushy instead of flaky and tasted awful. I didn’t say anything when asked how the food was but in hindsight, I truly wish I had. Bad nights happen but this was just awful. The lobster bisque is amazing, the atmosphere is amazing, and even on a super busy evening, the service was good. It is our second time coming back to Turner’s and I recommend it to all of my friends. Everyone must try the linguini with mussels, calamari and spicy marinara sauce! So delicious!
