Wanted to look for a Farm to table restaurant and was happy to find Ulivo tonight. Everyone was so amazing, Chef Marco came to the table to thank us and ask how the food was and the atmosphere was incredible. I had the duck, my wife had the seafood pasta and my mom had the gnocchi. For desert we shared the spectacular chocolate flan which was out of this planet! Wait for me because I’ll be back for sure!! This place has seriously good food ... everything very fresh, and perfectly balanced in flavors. All dishes exactly hit the spot between "distinct" flavor profiles without anything becoming overwhelming. Even the rolls were outstanding, with a variety of olive oils for dipping. We had branzino (very tender), homemade pasta bolognese, and zuppa di mare ... all excellent. Dessert was a chocolate mouse split 3 ways. We visited here 2 years ago when they first opened. The food then was certainly "good", but our meal tonight was truly excellent. This place deserves more love from Hunterdon County diners. Note: it's BYOB. I’m heartbroken to write this, but we had a terrible experience with the hostess yesterday. We made a reservation on OpenTable for 8pm. We arrived and the hostess said it was an error and there’s no tables and offered no resolution. There was enough room in the back to set up a small table for us, but wasn’t even discussed. So the wife and my 5 year old were left with no dinner and nowhere to go. We’ve been here several times, loved the food and our waiters were excellent. Unfortunately, we won’t be returning or recommending anyone else to go. there. Food: 5 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 5

Second time dining at Ulivo and thoroughly impressed by both the food and service. I love that you can see the chef cooking the food nearby and presentation was nice. Perfect BYOB date night spot, both times did not disappoint. Definitely recommend dining here, can’t wait to come back! Excellent authentic Italian restaurant! The food was delicious from appetizer, entree, to dessert. Highly recommend! Both food and service were top notch. Mangia! Mangia!
