Via Emilia is one of my all time favorite Italian restaurants, but have not had a chance to dine there in a while. I always order the sea bass dish, which used to be the best in town. The other night, when I finally had the chance to have dinner there, I was so excited to order the sea bass, but when it came out, it had a thin layer of cornmeal/flour (?) crust on both sides which was odd to me. I have a wheat allergy, so it I had to peel off the crust to eat. It is so much better "naked" then fried, with crust. Please go back to the old preparation, it was so much better. Thank you. The food here is amazing!! The staff is so friendly and knowledgeable on the menu. They had a piano player who was playing beautifully, it really made the evening so wonderful and special. Cannot wait to come back again. We had the octopus, gnocchi, lamb, and cheesecake. Everything was absolutely delicious!! Thank you Via Emilia for the wonderful experience for Mother’s Day tonight. Our server Larry was new but outstanding. Quick to service and attended all of our needs in a quick, professional manner. They had a live pianist and the owner didn’t once leave the floor to check on everyone. I got the Gnocchi, which were homemade and the size of scallops. The four cheese sauce on it however was dangerously good. For dessert, I got the limoncello which was soaking in lemon juice. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50

Nice place for an Italian meal. Food and service are both great, and the entree portions are pretty big. Bread and oil brought to the table are excellent and you'll have to have restraint to not devour it all prior to your meal arriving. I would not take young kids here, but they do have a verbal kids-menu available consisting of chicken fingers & pasta (no fries). The atmosphere is dark and perfect for a romantic evening. Excellent food The red snapper was tasty but had too much sauce could hardly see the snapper. The octopus was tender but needed more flavor. The double pork chop was excellent. I recommend this restaurant and will be returning! Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Delicious, upscale Italian restaurant. Food is great, with a few unique items (pear and spinach app/salad) and blackberry old fashioned. Staff was helpful and on top of everything. I prefer a more modern restaurant, like Terra Vino, one of their other restaurants. This is one of the best Italian restaurants I have been to. I’ve been wanting to try this resturant for awhile and I’m so glad we choose to eat here. This is the perfect atmosphere for date night or any intimate night, the decor is so old world and pretty. We had great service, everyone was super nice. Now the food was just wow it was so delicious. The bread that came out was so light crispy buttery and garlicky and it’s served with this olive oil balsamic sauce. It was so good we got two baskets of it. The Caesar salad was great the dressing was flavorful and you get a nice portion. Our entrees were fabulous, my husband said his Lemon Chicken was perfect that it very tasty with the lemon and pasta that the chicken was perfect. My seafood pasta was excellent it came with so much seafood and that red spicy sauce is so good. The Lemon Tiramisu was to die for it was super light and creamy with limoncello flavor it was great. The drinks were also very good as well. Overall we had a great experience here and I would highly recommend coming here for date night or any special event. This was an interesting experience. The waitress was kind and knowledgeable of the menu items. She was quite kind - Alexis is her name. The bread - pretty good. The asparagus with crab meat, appetizers - really good flavor.
