This review is for 3 recent visits: -Today was our 3rd visit (2 adults) and I’m sorry to say that once they sat us down, we were never approached by anyone. It literally felt as though we were invisible even though we were seated right next to the busy kitchen entrance. After waiting about 15 minutes, we decided to stop someone to see if we had a server assigned to our table. The waitress that we stopped said that she was sorry and would try to get someone to help us. We waited another 5 minutes while still being ignored and we decided to leave.. -On our 2nd visit (4 adults) the service was super slow and one of our four meals was wrong, but we decided to just keep it because of the long wait. Our food was just average, except for enchiladas verdes and they charged extra for chips and salsa which was not a big deal, just a surprise. -On our 1st visit we sat outside (5 adults, 3 children) and the kids enjoyed the play area. As expected, when eating outside we had to fight off the flies… but the ambiance was relaxing with a live musician singing and playing a guitar. Food was average but we paid for the atmosphere. Service was slow. -Bottom line: if you are on a tight time limit, this is not the restaurant for you. Me and family were celebrating our tias birthday and had a get together there, the restaurant itself was good and nice atmosphere.. first when we get there,there was a broken beer bottle on the curb by entrance, second the floor was slippery even for people that are elderly and using walking devices, third the queso and chips we ordered(chips were good) but the queso was watery, it was tasty but ok, forth the service sucked the waiter didn't come as frequent to wait on us,we had to ask the waitress on the next table to get anything even silverware, napkins etc..lastly when it came to our bill we got charged for something we didn't even ordered and the waiter said he had to separate the beer etc from the food ticket...it was a bad experience first of all why do we get 2 separate tickets one for beer liquor etc and for food it should all come in one ticket...we shouldn't have to pay twice!!! As a lifelong patron of Los Barrios on Blanco Rd, we were absolutely delighted to finally try Violas. The menu is nearly identical which was fine. The server , Alejandro was amazing! However, both of our drinking glass (including my 2nd one) were dirty. This should definitely be addressed with the kitchen! Great atmosphere could definitely take family to Business clients . Workers Speak English y Spanish. El gran ambiente definitivamente podría llevar a la familia a los clientes de negocios. Los trabajadores hablan inglés y español. $1 charge to bring cakes in sign by cash register with more information. Delicious food worth the visit Price varies based on desert or not . Beer or soda/sweet tea/water. Kids meals or adult foods. Appetizer or not . Soup or salad or not. My guesstimate is around $10-30 per person more if you really go big cause of special occasions. Lunch y dinner specials can get $10.99 burger y then order a drink or go all out with beers,dessert,soup,y a meal with a plate of appetizers to share.
