Go here at least once a week and have had no issues before. We have been bragging about this place to close friends for years and decided to bring them today around 6:00 pm. Each of us have toddlers so we asked the hosts at the front for seating for six and let them know two would be in high chairs (my 1.5 year old was even in my arms at one point). They asked for my name and handed me a buzzer but didn't say anything after that which was a little awkward so I asked how long the wait was and they let me know 20-25 minutes. Around 30 minutes go by and we see numerous large parties go through without us being seated but we were patient considering it looked like people were coming from a wedding or event. Finally my husband asks what the wait is and they said they would be seating us "like now". Another 5 minutes go by and one of the hostess (blonde one) walks over letting us know they were going to seat us at a high top table. Again, two toddlers. So I let her know that it would not be safe for us to have two young kids seated at a high top table without a proper high chair or seating for them. She makes an excuse that the age wasn't provided (most kids wouldn't be able to sit at a high top table) and I let her know it still wasn't safe. She proceeded to claim "well then you guys can just continue to wait then" in an abrasive and frustrated tone. By that point my husband was upset. We had two young kids who were hungry, obvious they were young and they were getting restless and plus I'm 5 months pregnant and hungry. So he claims "are you serious right now" to me, his wife. The hostess was standing behind him and proceeds to say "you don't need to be rude about it". Mind you, we had remained patient, waited double the time told and it was obvious from the beginning our children are very young. Eventually we get seated at a normal table near the hostess stand. Now I'm a companionate person so I was going to let this go even if the comment was unwarranted and unkind, however, on numerous occasions it was ABSOLUTELY apparent that the two hostesses proceed to discuss the situation with us, at one point one of them making eye contact with my friend, while the other whispered. It was extremely uncomfortable. I would have brought it up to our waitress at the time but, again, could tell they were busier than normal and did not want to make a fuss at the time. Overall the food is never disappointing but the way we were treated was completely unprofessional and not ok. Yikes. We ordered create your own pizza and Caesar salad. Delivery was 30+ minutes later than the estimated delivery time, and pizza was sub par. There were several slices that had no cheese on them at all, and the pizza was cold by the time it arrived to us. Would’ve been better off with frozen pizza (at about a tenth of the cost…the family sized pizza was $33!) Caesar salad was decent but had several wilting pieces of lettuce. Really fun local pizza spot. I understand why the locals pack this place! The rubicon (meat lovers) is fantastic. The gluten free crust is crazy good. Maybe better than the regular crust! When I arrived on 11/28/23 at 1642, there was plenty of bar seating, counting the chairs, not the space. It looked as if I may have missed the rush...that nobody cleaned up after. So I sat back a little from the bar thinking a busser would clean up the dirties... but instead the bartender asked me what I wanted. I ordered a Hoptologist, she poured it and served it, that's when I asked for napkins to clean the bar space in front of me. She then got a towel and wiped the bar. After that, and after I ordered, it seemed like I had to ask for everything...but if I was wait staff, we could have chatted in the corner. I did get another beer when she asked a guy to relive her, and I finally got a box for my pizza when an additional bartender came on line... This place used to be a real nice place. In fact, my Son worked here. The pizza is second to none. But it is Tuesday night, so I guess it's second string night...but at the very least...can we bus the bar???
