Usually a pleasant experience, but they were so busy today. Waited extra long time for food which was disappointing. The shrimp had no flavor in the steak and shrimp platter. My Alfredo with broccoli had good flavor but wasn't hot and fresh...looked like it had set for a while before served (pasta looked like pieces of rubber). However, reheated it at home the next day and it was very good. I think it was just too busy and short staffed this time, we are usually quite happy with our service and meals when we come. Came in last night and had been the best service we've received in a while at a restaurant. Jolena really took good care of us. Sat down and got our orders right away, food came out fast and fresh and the server did a great job checking on us and giving us refills. Thank you staff! They were understaffed. Server was super nice. Felt sorry for him as he was running ragged. Kitchen messed up part of order so 1 person had warm fresh food. Mine was cold. Great Bend's Applebee's is a pleasant experience. We ordered steaks, and they were both cooked to perfection. The staff was attentive and hustled. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean.
