This place was awesome. I have never had Ethiopian food before and wanted to try something new. Our server, Surafel, was extremely patient and kind explaining the different menu options and even how to eat the food once it was served (you use the bread to scoop up the food). The flavors were fantastic, I wish I could go into better detail about the overall tastes but it was honestly so unique - to me - that I'm not able to really compare it to anything. We were curious and asked about spices they use, one is called Mitmita which is primarily chilli peppers and cardamom. Again, Surafel took the time to talk to us about this. Would highly recommend this place to anyone. Especially someone who hasn't had Ethiopian cuisine before and would like to try something new. This was a fun place to visit. The food was tasty and filling. The atmosphere was very nice as well. The only complaint from our party was that the service was pretty bad. We asked for napkins, they said they would bring them, but never came back. Same happened with our waters that were empty for a while so we had to keep hunting them down and reminding them. It would be a much better experience if they would be more proactive with keeping on top of refills and such, and not have the customer have to ask for things a bunch of times. This place has become very special to me! It has a very nice aesthetic with an atmosphere that draws you in and makes you feel happy inside! I came here for the first time about a month ago with a friend and she went ahead and ordered for us both, so the second time I came with my cousin, I was a bit unsure about what to order - I did my best to remember, so I asked Surafel, who happened to be the same server I had the first time, I counted us lucky! He explained the menu and process very well and made sure we had enough bread and laughs! I would highly recommend this lovely cuisine that creates a fantastic atmosphere! Fantastic dining experience. The food is amazing, superb flavor and spice. Presentation was beautiful. Service is personal and accommodating. Loved it, definitely going back for more!
