This is late review since we visited this place in late August, and now is late February, but - here we come! 😃 All the places in this town where we stopped for BBQ back ribs were really good, so this place is no exception. Quite good food, service too. My son got crayons so he had something to occupy himself with while we ate. All in all - all praises, nice experience. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Great place for dinner! We went early to avoid the crowd. Ronni was our server and she was great! Beautiful restaurant. We loved all the stone work and the fireplace inside. I had the salad special of the day, and it was amazing! The drink we had, the winter Seabreeze, was great. We're going to try and make it when we get home! Fried green tomatoes were great, too. We'd never had them served with mustard and prefer ranch, but they were still delicious! If you're in the area, check them out! Price wasn't that bad. Didn't get that much when I ordered the brisket, as you can see. The taste was good of the brisket. The home brew beer was trash. For some reason, they put nutmeg on the fried pickles. I was burping up nutmeg later on. Overall forgettable.

The service and atmosphere were great! Food was less than mediocre. I ordered the grilled salmon with loaded baked potato. Both were extremely overcooked. The salmon was so dry that the butter on top wasn’t enough to help. My daughter’s chicken tenders and fries kid plate was better cooked and much better portion size than my plate that was 3x more expensive. Great place to stop in for a meal. When we came in it was late but the staff encouraged us to take our time. That was nice to not be made to feel rushed. The food came out quickly and was delicious. I was so hungry I forgot to take pictures but the burger was awesome and the sweet potato fries were great. I highly recommended this place to anyone who is in the area. After a day hiking in the Smoky’s I had wanted some ribs and was told Calhoun’s is a Tennessee staple. I sat down at the bar and was quick to order ribs and a shrimp skewer. Food came out a bit later than expected and it wasn’t very hot. Ribs were pretty good but my shrimp seemed barely cooked and chewy. Kinda scary. Otherwise had I not filled up on bread and butter would have enjoyed my meal more. Got talked into macadamia nut banana pudding for dessert and it was delicious but not what I had come for.
