For context, I am Mexican and have lived most of my life in California and Texas, soI was skeptical about going to a Mexican Restaurant at the mall, but the food and service was excellent. You can get a taco or burrito anywhere, but the house specialties were incredible. We ordered the skirt steak with the chile relleno and mole chicken. They were incredible! We also got a watermelon margarita and I want to say it was one of my favorite ones of all time; the fresh watermelon juice was the game changer. We also got the mango tres leches, which was unique and good. I’m not big on desserts, but enjoyed the mango flavors. Well, I can't speak too much for the food yet. I tried their enchiladas, wasn't too impressed 😕 cream sauce, and had some flavor, but the interior of the enchilada was just dry chicken. There is nothing in it but 🐔 🐥 🍗 🐤 chicken. Honestly, the sole purpose of an enchilada is the filling. Might as well handed me a plate of chicken. I'm not trying to be rude but constructive. We really don't need to be that fancy for the best dish in the world. The corn tortillas were under absorbed. Basically, raw. No heat to the shell. Making this dish difficult to enjoy. Now I can't say much for anything else, because I haven't had more of the menu. I will come back to revisit this place another time. The issue with the service was that I never was asked how the meal was? He did a great job on asking me if I would like premium over shelf margarita. Bartender really didn't acknowledge me much. However. The food service was quick. I ordered and had it in minutes. Which is worrisome. Explaining the result in food quality. The staff was nice. The atmosphere was great but if you want real Mexican food get out of the mall. The food was okay. Really Americanized. Wouldn’t really even call it Mexican food. We wanted some yummy Mexican food & this restaurant definitely delivered! So good! Chips & salsa served right away which I love! Also ordered fresh guacamole which was very good! Ordered chicken fajitas & it was a ton of food!! Fresh tortillas! We also ordered the Grilled Steak Fajitas Burrito & Pollo Asado. Our waiter Johnny took great care of us! Truly elevated Mexican cuisine. The perfection of each individually made nacho, the house chips and dip, the black bean pure and the melt in your mouth skirt steak. I was amazed by this Mexican restaurant in the Mall of America. Their brunch menu was not only delicious but also reasonably priced, and it even included drinks. I particularly enjoyed the Crab Cake Benedict, the combination of the crab cake and poached eggs was mouthwatering, although a bit more crunch on the crab cake would have been perfect. The ASADA Y HUEVOS with steak was cooked to perfection. The only disappointment was the Mimosa, which wasn’t as refreshing as expected. The restaurant's spacious and bright ambiance created the ideal setting for a leisurely brunch. The service was fast and efficient, making the experience even better. It's a fantastic place for a family hangout while shopping at the mall, and I'll definitely be coming back, perhaps for dinner, given its perfect location. I had to visit this restaurant as it carries my hometown name. My spouse and I were pleasantly surprised at how delicious the flour tortillas tasted. It reminded us of tortillas from back home, only smaller. The host/hostess immediately greeted us as we approached the entrance. Our server was nice, but we felt like she was having a bad day or something. We saw other servers with a more delightful demeanor. The food did come to our table relatively quickly, which was good. 10/10/2022 - Service was very good and the food is so yummy..I really like the chips and salsa. So far I have not had a bad experience. 12/10/2022 - I came here with a friend and it was very pleasant. I actually went here a few times and the service has always been spectacular. The food was great. They give out chips and bomb salsa. It does have a kick to it. All the dishes were very filling and perfectly portioned for hungry people and not over eat. The apps are great too. The portions are to share. Our server Jobnny Boy was very friendly and was on top of it. He checked several times with me and got us what we needed. It was great. There is dim lighting and a conversational atmosphere. It was quiet enough to hear each other and loud enough to feel like not the only people talking.
