Quaint space. We sat at the bar and had quick friendly service. Draft cocktails are strong and tasty. Food came out quick and was delicious. I recommend the payday injected dumplings if you want to try something different! **Update! I’ve been back idk how many times since my original post in 2018, and this place is still consistently amazing. The pictures are from my 2 recent visits within the last 2 months. Great food and very nice staff! Dixon was our waiter, he did everything he could to make sure our first time there was the best experience! I am definitely looking forward to returning soon! Finally went to Chaplin’s. I had heard good things about it. It’s a crossover Asian (Japanese) restaurant with a non Asian name. They are so popular that one requires reservations. The food was good but not something that would make me go back. Good staff. Nice vibe. Very atmospheric (dark) so my photos are blurry. #restaurant #dmvfoodie

We came here for girls brunch and it was so delicious. We also enjoyed the cocktails and trying new dishes together. The pan fried dumplings and Chaplin A.S.S. were my top two favorites but you can’t go wrong with anything. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Chaplin's is one of my go-to spot for a Ramen fix in DC! From the first time I stepped in, I knew I was in for a treat. The Tori Karaage is a must-try – that sweet and spicy sauce is a game-changer. And let's not forget the Chaplin Ramen; the pork belly chashu is melt-in-your-mouth goodness. Every bite feels like a warm hug. Oh, and the cocktails? A delightful surprise! A Woman of Paris is my favorite. Friendly staff, fantastic food, and killer cocktails Service Dine in Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Vegetarian Tan Tan Men
Solid ramen spot with happy hour drinks and amazing food. Tried this spot out for Friday happy hour and was not disappointed. Had thr Spicy Teryaki bao buns and two different bowls of ramen. Everything was delicious. Can't beat $6 hour cocktails and $3 beers for happy hour. Ambiance at the bar was cool, although we would definitely come back to check out a regular table spot. Most delicious ramen I have ever tasted! Stumbled across this restaurant around midnight on our first night touring DC and had an amazing experience. Our waiters were very kind and gave us tips on the area. The food was great with such reasonable prices as of $16. Would recommend! Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30
Overall my family and I had a great time customer service was excellent our waitress was very nice and attentive. The drinks were also great. The food was however was just okay to me the ramen wasn’t spectacular and my husband ordered the yakisoba noodles those were also ok. We did enjoy the chicken Karaage Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Food: 3 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Tori Karaage
Had a great Saturday brunch here. The place wasn't too packed. The food was delicious. We got Shumai and pan fried gyoza to start. My friend and I both got these frozen cocktails, that really hit the spot. I had the Mappo Tofu Ramen. I'm still thinking about it because it was so tasty. Server was very attentive and checked in regularly. Would definitely recommend.
