Food is always good, whether you order breakfast, lunch or dinner. I have never been disappointed with the flavors or the portions. Atmosphere always seems cozy especially when there is a fire in the fireplace. It was very busy but did not feel crowded. This location was one of extremely few places to eat on a snowy day. Their managers were cooking and the food was delicious. The waitresses were very pleasant and helpful. They closed early afternoon because their staff was calling out. We were so grateful to be fed and came back the next day for breakfast on our way back to Middle TN. Excellent!! Christy did an amazing job of taking care of our table. The food was hot and fresh. The country ham is beyond delicious. We had their Bloody Mary and mimosas and they were strong and only $6. Cannot beat that price. The gravy wasn’t the best but that’s the only bad thing I have to say. If you are looking for a great place to start your day, look no farther. Food was decent. No complaints but also nothing to write home about. Service was another thing. We went at a time when it wasn't super busy. There were a few tables with bigger parties but I wouldn't say more than average. We had to wait a very long time to ask for things & then wait another long time to receive them. & really it wasn't like we were asking for much.. just things like the biscuits that came with the meal, the barbecue sauce ordered with the chicken tenders. Waitress seemed very stressed & overwhelmed. At the beginning, I thought she was the only waitress in the whole area so I understood, but then I saw 3 other waitresses/ waiters, which put her with 3-4 tables max. We were told things like I have to do bring the other table this & that & then I'll get it for you. At the end we waited about 10 minutes for to go boxes before we just said forget it & left. Maybe our waitress was just having a bad day but the other staff seemed just as miserable. Not what you'd expect at a family restaurant. This was a typical Cracker Barrell. The food was great for most of us. The fried catfish left something to be desired and my son refuses to eat. The berry tea was amazing. Out server was friendly and fast. Everything aside from the fish was fantastic! The steak was amazing. It was melt in your mouth and perfectly seasoned!
