The waitress was an absolute doll! She made sure the coffee was hot and that the refills kept coming!! The eggs were perfectly sunny, and the ham and English muffins were great!! The food was served quickly.😃
I have to say that the potatoes were not home fries by any sense of the word . They were boiled, hardly browned at all, tasteless and waxy. The brown gravy and cheese on top of them created a cold, gelatinous mess. I tried 4 of them from various sections of the plate to give it a fair chance, but plastic is plastic.

Walked into D's this Sunday morning and right off the bat you can tell how the food can be when the parking lot was packed. With a packed house I only waited about 5 minutes. My server was on her game today making sure if I needed anything. I got the Western omelette which had peppers onions and ham. I ordered a side of home fried potatoes and Italian toast. My potatoes were piled up on my plate next to that 3 egg omelette. Everything was delicious! Now this is a cash only place however they do have an ATM on site. So I had breakfast after my fasting labs at the VA, so I was hungrier then 2 Ethiopians working the chow line. If the options for a diner breakfast weren't so limited in the area (dominated by national chains) I probably would have hopped back in the car because of the "cash only" policy. My waitress was friendly. Food came out reasonably quick. Let me give them an honorable mention here for using real potatoes for the home fries. Although the SOS (Creamed Chipped Beef) was more like sausage gravy then the true SOS I saw in the pictures here on Google Maps and according to the waitress, it's made with ground beef, instead of chipped beef. Scrapple was a nice big portion and was served deep fried. For those who are used to it being grilled, the deep fryer gives it a nice solid even crunchy crust, with the gooey scrapple goodness waiting inside.

It's such a cute quiet quaint restaurant. A gem that is about 10 minutes from interstate 81. The waitresses were friendly, inviting and attentive. The breakfast was great. We had two customized omelets and a egg, sausage and home fries breakfast. Great place to stop!
