Good across the board authentic Mexican place with a pretty diverse menu and very reasonable prices. Live music some days, super cheap margaritas at happy hour. Not as flashy and food is more plain than what you'll find at the bigger name places but it's popular enough with the locals, both Mexican and Caucasian. Open for breakfast too. Our family loves El Emperador! The food is always good, comes out quickly and the staff is always incredibly kind. Our kids can get a little feral and they never seem annoyed by them. Thankful for this Tomball restaurant. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

The service starts out well, and then it just dwindles. Most waitresses are really dry, no smiles. My son ordered his food and I was waiting for my other son and his wife to get there but one of the waitress asked me if I was going to order or not like it bothered her that I was waiting, just made me feel uncomfortable. I guess that's why they took forever to refill coffee. The food was really good though. The food at El Emperador is amazing. I could tell lots of love and care was put into my order. Everything I tried tasted authentic and fresh. The lemonade was also exceptional. Prices are very fair, especially during this economy. I will definitely be back again. Located in Old Downtown Tomball. Great location to eat and do some antique shopping! Food was fresh, tasted great, and large servings. Service was perfect! Definitely a place to try out. I personally think this is one of the better places I have been to. Pics will give you an idea of the food! A nice surprise hiding in the middle of old town Tomball on Main street within the Executive Inn. They have extended hours from breakfast to dinner and dessert. The place has ramps and handicap parking and booth or table seating. It's a real hot spot for working people on the go. Hot, fresh fantastic flavorful authentic Mexican dishes or just a burger or burrito on the run. This is one of my Dad's favorite spots. It's very clean, friendly and amazing service with full plates, good portions for the prices. Highly recommend. If you like artwork the walls are also lined with eye candy for the soul. Simple decor. The restaurant is not fancy, just a good family dining restaurant. Good value with large portions. Loved their refried beans as they have some kick and are not the plain old beans that are boring to me. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $1–10
