A good place for solid food choices and good service here. I had the Southwest Fried Chicken which was tasty but I was expecting pieces of chicken. It was a chicken patty which was fine and certainly not a small portion. The chicken was smothered with creamed corn gravy and that was quite good. Underneath was mashed potatoes which did not taste like they came out of a box. On the side was broccoli and while I thought it was overcooked, a friend had the same meal and she thought it was perfect. I finished the whole plate, she could only eat half (skinny people...sheesh). 🤣 My wife had the pulled pork which she described as good but not earth shatteringly great. Same description for the mac and cheese. She also had the "I'm Your Huckleberry" which is a Moscow Mule type drink with huckleberry puree as the secret sauce. She liked that. Overall the service was really good and the food was good, but not a barbecue place you'll be raving about to fellow travelers back at the campground. I ordered a burger to take out for lunch today and waited 40 minutes for this undercooked Arizona Burger. The most awful part of my bad experience is not that raw meat I received but the bartender has the guts to talk me down when I questioned about if my order was in after about 30 min. The waiter apologized for delay but she kept saying 2 min each time I questioned about my order. I understand things happen but why tiny you inform the client and if I knew my order was Service Take out Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1

On a recent vacation to AZ I was staying nearby and chose to eat here one night. I ordered the fish and chips and was very satisfied with my meal. I travel the US full time and I love stopping at little local eateries like this. When it comes time to order I always ask the same question, whats the favorite or whats the best thing on the menu. Today I was met an immediate and confident response, The Haymaker Benedict. With an answer that fast and that confident I had no other choice!! It was definitely good. As their menu states, “it’s perfect the way it is” I definitely recommend Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Service was EXCELLENT!! Food was OK. The fries were good but the bacon cheeseburger lacked. Prefer iceberg lettuce and not the wilty stuff that was on the burger. The Haymaker was a great spot. The bar area was great. Had a couple really good bloody Mary's!!!! Bar tender was a very nice guy. I had a brisket breakfast skillet & it was delicious. My dad had an American slam breakfast it was fantastic as well. Father in law had a breakfast burrito. He enjoyed it as well. I will definitely be heading back to this place for some good food as soon as I can. The service was great as well!!! Great food and drinks. We Would have wanted food a bit warmer but it was super busy - so it was understandable. Sat at the bar for quicker service bc there was a 30 minute wait time. Going to the bar was a big plus with being seated immediately. I love a good breakfast spot, especially when you can eat it for dinner. I had the haymaker Benedict...wow, very very good. It is a very unique dish with all kinds of stuff on it and I loved it. Would definitely go back for that one. Wife had a breakfast burrito which was also tasty. My son loved the hash browns. Pancakes were just ok, not bad at all, but nothing special, they were just pancakes. -We ordered the Arizona burger and fries. They were both good but wish they were hotter. The burger needed salt but that's preference. The grilled onions were the best part. -The wedge salad was very yummy. Especially with the crispy onion straws. I wish it had come out before the burger. -The ranch is a really nice salad ranch. The balsamic blue cheese was light but flavorful. -The server was around and attentive but the food did take quite awhile. Maybe why it was cold? -The sweet tea was lightly sweet, so I'd say it's the only sweet tea I've ever enjoyed. - We will be back. Nice atmosphere. We went for a late lunch (1:30). We were served right away. The waitress was helpful in picking out items on the menu. I had the burger and fries..they were ok.
