I called Jinn's buffet in Conover and asked if they had buffet all day, and was told yes. The associate said lunch until 3:30, dinner after. I took my elderly friend to eat there at 3:11 pm,and was charged for the lunch buffet. She is a slow eater, so she didnt go back for seconds until a while later. She came back to the table with a frog legg, excited to try it. We didn't think anything about it, but then a worker came up to our table and grabbed our receipt, acted like she was gonna write on it, and said So! You gonna to pay dinner price. You got food off the dinner buffet! My friend and I were both confused because we didnt know what she was talking about. We said she just got 1 frog legg and 2 shrimp. The worker said she can charge us because she is the manager, and that there was a sign and we should have read it. And then she disappeared. We saw no sign, obviously, until I asked three waitresses later where the sign was and none of them spoke english. Finally another waitress came and showed me the little signs that said dinner buffet only. My friend never saw the signs, and was sure they were not there yet when she got her frog leg. My friend is one of the most honest people I know. I did not appreciate that manager treating her like crap and embarrassing her like that. My family, friends, and I have eaten there many times for lunch. We just weren't familiar with the dinner rules. Other resturants are not like that, as at Hibachi Grill and Golden Corral, it just goes according to when you come in. I wont take anyone else there to be publicly accused and humiliated like that. I tried most of the food. The only thing that I somewhat enjoyed was the chicken and broccoli as well as the lomein. My uncle absolutely loves this place, which is why I checked it out. It is clean and the staff is friendly. I would go back. It is a good price and you can find some stuff that you would like. We had a good experience on Christmas. Really nice people running a tight operation. They were slammed but managed to keep all the food filled and things kept clean on the buffet. The food was as good as any average takeout. Nothing amazing but it was exactly what we wanted. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I live in Portland, OR, and come out several times a year to visit my in-laws. Jin’s is always my post-workout meal! I love this place!!! You can’t beat the value of this buffet. Great selection and excellent quality! They have a loyal customer who lives 2,700 miles away. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Being a trucker is hard enough, and coming across good food is even harder. This place definitely has good food at a great price. The food was fresh, and they had just the right amount to choose from. It's not too overwhelming like most buffets and not breaking your pockets just to enjoy food. I even tried sushi for the first time. As long as people stay considerate on not wasting food, more places like this can thrive. This place has cracked the code for buffets and buffet prices. I fed a family of 5 (I have 3 little boys) for under 40 dollars!!! It was insane. They also have American and kid friendly options like cheese sticks, Mac and cheese, Bacon on crab. That make it a place everyone can join. If you haven't been to Jins, you gotta go. It's GREAT.
