To all my truckers...if you want a taste of New Orleans without having to go into New Orleans, I definitely recommend stopping here. I stopped in to get a hot sausage on French with cheese, fully dressed, and some fries. Even though I like mine with stale French bread (day old), I can not knock fresh French bread either. Everything was hot and fresh. I wanted to eat the whole thing but I had to show some restraint and take half with me for later. I would have taken a picture of it, but I ate it too fast. Overall a good restaurant. The receptionist is a cute and Friendly girl and she described the dish clearly. Food was nice and neatly done. The restaurant is always kept clean and the restroom is quite neat Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

This place is exactly what it purports to be. A plain, simple environment, very clean with an easy ordering process, nice staff and great tasting food. You choose your meal from a posted menu. The staff is very nice and eager to help you have a good experience, so they willingly answer questions and make suggestions. Once you place your order, you are given a number, you pay the cashier and choose a table. For drinks, you have a choice of bottled soft drinks or fountain drinks, which you grab before heading to a table. Your number is called very soon after ordering and the most delicious food is ready for you to pick up. I had a large entree salad with 1/2 oysters and 1/2 shrimp. It came with dressing, captain wafers, and tarter or cocktail sauce. My friend ordered the 1/2 Oysters and 1/2 Shrimp platter. It came with toast, french fries and a small salad. Please note the salad are very basic with shredded lettuce and tomato, but cold and fresh tasting. My entree salad included cheese and boiled egg. Everything was very good and temp appropriate. The shrimp on my salad (about 20 of them) were good. But my oysters were the best I have had in a very long time. Fat, juicy, steaming hot oysters with a light, crunchy well- seasoned batter. And they put about a dozen on my salad. My friend ordered a platter so she had even more shrimp and oysters than I did, with the same outcome - good shrimp and great oysters! My lunch salad with drink was $17 and her platter with drink was $29. The people, service and food were all fantastic. We would go back - anytime. The food is good and hot. People are very friendly. I am a truck driver, and there is enough room to pull right in front without blocking entrances. I usually get the fish or shrimp po boy with sweet corn nuggets. I am never disappointed. It's a little pricy but worth it. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I was looking for a local place, ordered she was very pleasant, 17 bucks for a sandwich, side and a drink, she gave me a number I sat down doing some biz on my phone and , I’m the only one in the place, she calls my number , now I’m only 10 feet from the register, and at the time there were 3 employees gabbing with ea other. , she calls it again, and then she looks at me as I’m sitting and says sir your food is ready. 12-29-2020 Tuesday lunchtime. While driving down airline highway I saw this location and decided to stop. I’ve never been to this location before. Overall the food did not taste bad and it had a decent presentation. I think it was a bit on the pricey side for the amount of food you get and the overall taste. I’m thinking if a side came with it like fries or something it would have been a little more filling and or the price wouldn’t have seemed as bad. Overall it was not a horrible experience and I would return to this location. I was a bit disappointed when I found out there was not homemade sweet tea.

Nice little find on The Airline in Laplace. I've passed this place mannnnny mannnnyyy times before & shamefully this was only my 2nd time visiting. Here for a quickie lunch with my friend & mentor, CynthiaYvonne; I opted for the fried shrimp po-boy. The bread was that crunchy, make a mess in your lap French bread, I'll have to remember that for when Granny returns; and I had a soda & a few fries. Ms Cynthia had a roast beef au jus, fries & a soda; ohhhhh and FYI, the fries are enough to share, because after all "sharing is caring...". I got the 7.5 inch po-boy and only ate half, I shouldn't have eaten those chips prior to lunch. Shucks!!!! Anywhoooo... Entering the establishment, it feels really "homey", truly like a mom & pop restaurant and now that I'm thinking of it, I think it is. Folks inside look super comfortable and not necessarily awaiting food, for sure I saw two ladies just chillaxin & I was like, he way not? We dined and chilled a bit as well, then left. I found pricing to be fair. Portion sizes were average & the service was prompt. I'll have to make my way back for the Daily Lunch special, as today they were sold out of the BEANS & RICE.
