Having seen Franklin County Historic Jail Museum, it's time to have a rest at this restaurant. Many visitors of Mr Ds state that nicely cooked onion strings, steak sandwiches and hamburgers are served here. Good ice cream can be what you need. Great milkshakes or delicious lemonade are worth a try here. This place is well known for its great service and friendly staff, that is always ready to help you. Love Mr. D's, we have eaten there several times over the years and it has always been a good experience. You pull in, they take your order, then bring your order to your vehicle. There are times we sit there and eat and other times take it home to eat. Their tots are cooked perfectly every single time we've gotten them( which is every time we go there) I love the chicken fried steak sandwich, served on grilled Texas toast with lettuce, tomato and mayonnaise. Nothing negative! Burgers are tasty, icecream is delicious and a lot more budget friendly than a certain DQ... Fried pickles are not the best I've had but they're good! Milkshakes always hit the spot.
