I wish they had a 3.5 stars option but anyways let’s unpack. Atmosphere - Kind of loud and fast paced. I wouldn’t recommend going there if you want to take your time and have good conversation and actually feel comfortable Service- Our server was very nice! He was helpful and efficient. However, you barely have any time to look at the menu before they ask you if you’re ready to order. There’s also no physical menus so I would make sure to take a look on you’re phone before coming in. Food- Hit or miss tbh. The Enfrijoladas La Cathedral were excellent! Enchiladas potosinas are definitely not enchiladas potosinas lol, wouldn’t recommend. Arroz con leche French Toast were fire!! The arroz con leche crepes were eh but I’m not generally a crepe lover. Our family friend enjoyed his Alambre and my step dad said the Chilaquiles en Salsa de Molcajete really upset his stomach. Drinks- Rompoccino was so good!! Their Capuccino with Cajeta was too sweet and the Chocolate Abuelita was just regular, nothing too remarkable. Loved that a cookie comes with the drinks though! Overall, I would recommend going if you have the chance and you’re curious but personally, it was a one and done for me. Make sure to get on that waitlist or they will not let you in! Food was amazing! Felt like I was in someone's abuelita's house.Loved the huge selection of chilaquiles. The place was busy, but we were seated and taken care of quickly. Warm and inviting mexican cafe in a cozy chalet-style building decorated with Christian artifacts. Friendly and popular; busy but relaxing; super authentic. The mostly spanish speaking patrons made it feel like I was in Guadalajara. And the coffee! Holy cow my Cafe de Olla was so rich and exotic I coulda swore it was mulled wine. “You sure there’s no alcohol in here?” 😆 Also the chilaquiles are next level. Really great place. The food is delicious. Their chilaquiles are truly unmatched. I like to get the red ones they are on the spicier side. Their cafe de olla is iconic. Their cafe de olla tends to be on the sweeter side so if you have health issues it’s a good idea to ask for an additional side of creamer, milk, or water to dilute it. The servers are polite I haven’t had a bad customer service experience here ever. The service always impresses me. What is most impressive about this restaurant is its ability to adapt. I’ve been a faithful patron since their beginning, I have seen them expand over and over, and their customer service remains impeccable. I keep coming back because of the delicious food alone but their service makes the experience even better. Their wait times could seem ridiculous lol but to be honest if you go outside of Little Village that would be about the same wait time. It’s always worth the wait! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
