We used to go there quite often and were very happy with the service and the food. Altough the restaurant is quite dark and the tables are very close to each other, we still felt like it was worth it. Since we went vegan, we saw a total change of behavior from the kitchen. The service staff is still very nice but the kitchen is not making any effort in trying to adapt and was quite rude the last time we called to take away. They lost good customers. As a 240lbs man who loves cooking and eating I was pleasantly surprised by the taste and the portion sizes. Definitely worth an extra visit. Great bang for your buck! Would recommend to anyone who wants a great meal that doesn’t cost to much. The pasta I would rate higher than the pizza but both really good. Clean plate when done! Food was good, but we had not book a table and arrived 17:30 we got a table and asked if we could be ready to leave at 19, normally no problem but service was too slow and it took 50 min until all dishes was served made the visit too stressfull, when leaving pizza sallad was left to pay for the last person that not eat it also charged for a pizza box even just got a too small piece of aluminium foil to cover left over in. Tried La caprone and Ren pasta… food was good, the place is clearly understaffed so service was a bit delayed . Nice interior and friendly staff.

very friendly and polite staff tho inexperienced maybe , many customers waiting by the door for too long to be seated... cosy although our table by the door was coldish. good value , good food. pls move the table which is beside the toilet door, why have a table at the door to the toilet? , when i opened the door it hit the guys chair who was eating . food and service good for the price point, i recommend for casual tasty eats

During our slightly-over-a-week stay in Luleå we visited "Pastabacken" for dinner 3 times. Why? Because the food was amazing! The restaurant is quite popular and also not that big - so a reservation is highly recommended. I guess we were lucky to get a table the first time we went there (without a reservation) but not getting a table shouldn't be a reason to leave a negative, 1-star review (I've read a few dramatic ones. Chill, people.) The staff is generally very friendly and helpful - especially Kristoffer - which is the son of the owner. The pizzas are very good, the starters incredible (I can absolutely recommend "Provoletta" and "Chorizo Pocho Poblete"). When it comes down to the main course.... it would be a crime to go to "Pastabacken" and not try the "Kristoffers Special". This is one of the tastiest dishes I've had in a long time! Those thin slices of beef at the bottom, the tortellini, all that molten cheese and spicy sauce...divine ! If you appreciate tasty food - when in Luleå you HAVE to go to "Pastabacken" !
