I've been stopping by here on my way to St. Louis, from Central Iowa, for many, many years. The menu has very fair and honest prices, compared to where I live. You literally can't go wrong with anything on the menu. I've suggested this place to a lot of friends that pass by here, and they've also been blown away by this place. Even though it's a local hang out, you still feel welcomed here.

Had a very late lunch today from Pulaski Gas and Grill and it was wonderful!! The lad behind the counter was pleasant, greeted me like an old friend, allowed me to peruse the menu without interruption, took the order, then WASHED HIS HANDS!!! I've been in cafés and restaurants where I've seen waitstaff handle money then go back and handle food with no hand washing evidence. This lad was on his own, no manager to remind him, and he didn't just rinse his fingertips, he WASHED HIS HANDS!!! then prepared a fish sandwich minus the bread and fries that was perfectly cooked!! Crispy fish, moist and tender and fries!! My own momma couldn't make fries that tasty!!!
The place is immaculate, small, a few tables about, attached to a gas/ convenience store but I'll be changing my route home so I can get dinner there!!

This little gas and grill was so busy today, after church and all!!! We waited just a few minutes for our to go food and it was well worth the wait!! Probably the BEST cheeseburger I have had in years!!! Very tasty!!! Everyone was polite and friendly and made sure our order was right! Well worth the stop at this little gem on highway 2!!! Thank you so much Vickie!!! And staff!!!
