My wife ordered food online and I went to go pick it up. I went to the register and told the young lady, that I ordered online and my order looks like it's ready.
Then waited almost 30 minutes by the register, bc they were busy, another person came in and was immediately asked if she order a pick up order...I said out loud "really, I've been here for almost 30 minutes and haven't been acknowledged" I was finally given my order. I don't usually talk about race, but I'm a black guy and then when the lady who was white walked in, she was acknowledged immediately.

This is one of my favorite places in Texas to get barbecue—Soulman’s in general, not just precisely this location.
I am a native Texan, and I think I could honestly say that I would choose to go to Soulman’s over some of the more famous standalone barbecue restaurants throughout Texas.
The meat is always gracefully cooked and prepared to perfection, the portions are satisfying, and the flavors in many of their side options exceed someone’s expectations.
I always get a sausage or brisket sandwich on a round bun, ranch house beans, fried cabbage, jalapeño corn, and banana pudding. Each one of the sides I just listed is always phenomenal, and it’s what keeps me coming back. I often think about them when it’s been a while since I haven’t got to eat them. The ranch house beans, jalapeño corn, and fried cabbage are very well seasoned and pack a lot of flavor, which is what I admire about each one of them. The banana pudding is always fresh and curated perfectly. It hits the spot every time! I’ve also had their Pecan Pie a few times, which was very good every time. If I had a reason to write letters back home these days, each one of these dishes is something I would rant and rave about.
I also love that most of their locations offer an ice cream machine with cones free of charge for the guests who dine in and prefer a light dessert afterward.
I frequently stop at this location when passing through and traveling down I-30 since they have an abundant amount of truck parking. You’re almost always guaranteed to grab a spot here later in the evening, and you even enjoy an award-winning dinner. 10/10 would recommend.

I love BBQ, but I'm not a fan of the options that Royse City has. This is my go-to if I'm looking for BBQ. The guys that work with the meat are always nice, the women that do the other stuff, not so much. However, iv never had an issue with the food at this location!

I am a truck driver, and let me tell you how thank full I am about finding parking here! Every place was full and I was running out of drive time. This place has room for 10-15 trucks. Thank you Soulman’s Bar-B- Que Next time I’m going to eat there !
It's pretty much the same here all the time. Food is great. Plenty of options. It's very simple, but it works. Its just gotten quite pricey.

I had the 2 meat plate, brisket and spicy sausage. The sausage was really good, the brisket was OK. Their BBQ sauce was good, I had the pinto beans and Mac-n-cheese.

Ribs were disappointing. Pulled pork had good flavor but a lot of pieces were not edible because they had been burnt to the point of not being able to chew it. Mac n cheese is good. Okra is good. Green beans were good. Bread and gravy were good. BBQ sauce was pretty good (I prefer Carolina style but this wasn't too bad) Coke products and good nitrous system set up. Really enjoyed the pecan pie and banana pudding at the end. My picky kiddo ate the sausage from the kids plate which is generally impressive. This location looked clean and was not crowded. Service was fairly friendly as well. There are pot holes all over outside so be careful pulling in to park.
