I thought the food was good. The atmosphere is certainly extraordinary. You are sitting right next to the Mediterranean Sea and the Blue Grotto so you just soak in the views. Had the bruschetta which I thought was very good. Also had a variety of the salads. Try the Malta salad which is a little different. It’s not gourmet food but song with the view the food is good. We had delicious fresh fish of the day twice in this restaurant were you can witness spectacular views and sunsets and enjoy local wines and food (e.g. Caravaggio Chenin Blanc). Maria was an amazing host helping us to choose our dishes and wines. We definitively would recommend this restaurant. After visiting the Blue Grotto, the restaurant is right above it with a view on the sea below. We were there at noon and it was quite busy. We had to wait 10 minutes and the waiter was really nice and tried to provide us, as well as the people behind us, with a nice place in a shade- which was quite a nice service. We did have to wait a while to get a menu and to be served. The food was good, but quite average. Do not expect a sense explosion, it is a fast serving restaurant, and for that it was good. When another server cleared our places he took our plates, full of bolognese sauce, and put the salt and pepper shakers right into the sauce- that was not really nice to see to be honest. The experience was overall good. When I was at the restaurant which was 2 nd November 2022 the food was quite good. The pepperoni of the pizza was of good quality, but the dough of the pizza was a bit to thick and chewy even though it was well cooked. The spaghetti bolognese 🍝 was very good with good quality of ground beef and a rich sauce. For the dessert I had lemon sorbet in a lemon 🍋, and it was delicious 😋 . We have lunch at Step In after visiting Blue Grotto. We chose outdoor table without direct sunlight .The views of the open seas are beautiful, so fresh air and the food portions were very good. The waiter was so nice and professional, he advised us we already have too much food for us if we are small eaters, so we reduce it just nice to our needs.
