This is a quaint, nicely kept diner in downtown Camdenton. The breakfast was delicious, and the "Biggest Bun on the Lake" was fantastic. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Enjoyed our brunch. I tried the 1/2 order “Diet” plate and barely finished it. Thank goodness I didn’t go for the full order. It was sooo good! Hubby enjoyed the Cheese burger and fries. First time to visit. Food not good. Toast - not toasted at all. Club sandwich meat not good. Onion rings greasy old grease taste. Not welcoming very cold needed heat on never took off my coat. Large portions and great flavor from a unique menu. The open face roast beef sandwich had a gravy that was full of flavor, but not too salty. The gravy slinger with sausage gravy had crispy hash browns, and the eggs were cooked perfectly to order, over medium; whites were fully cooked while the yolk remained runny. The advertisement of having the largest buns on the lake is no joke. The cinnamon roll is huge and delicious. The server was super friendly and seemed to enjoy her job and conversing with us. We enjoyed our stop here for breakfast. We had the Spanish and Denver omelets and the food was just fine, it was kinda the nostalgia of it that I liked. Simple menu, nice service, coffee cup filled without asking and I just felt like it was 1988 in my hometown on a Saturday morning. Simple, nice and clean. Ordered the roast beef platter after I returned and it was roast beef lunch meat topped with gravy and a piece of buttered toast on the side. I had left for an emergency but my wife stayed. The server kept pushing her to order but she wanted to wait for me to get back and order. She finally got tired of him coming over and ordered before I returned. Hate to write this because I love it here but today was horrible. I got the southern style, the gravy was cold and lumpy with chunks of flour in it, with undercooked mushy hashbrowns, and doughy undercooked biscuits. This place used to be so good what happened! First time here - phenomenal breakfast. I had 2 eggs over easy with toast and hashbrowns. Husband had scrambled eggs, bacon and pancakes. Pancakes were plate size and delicious! Coffee was great. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person $1–10

The “diet” plate and the steak and eggs with pancakes was delicious! The steak was cooked and seasoned just right. The buttermilk biscuits melt in your mouth. 4/5 stars because the business is short staff and there is no one to greet you at the door. You sign your name and number of people in your party on a sheet.
