Taste nicely cooked op la, kama and kibbeling. Try good fruitcake. You will enjoy delicious wine or good white wine at this cafe. Order the great latte, cappuccino or espresso offered here. The homely atmosphere of 't Badhuys allows visitors to relax after a hard working day. The cool staff shows a high level of quality at this place. People say that the service is spectacular here. Many reviewers have noticed that prices are affordable for what you get. Based on the users' feedback on Google, this spot deserved 4.

Beautiful location on the beach, stunning interior decor. Very friendly, my only negative comment is that the cakes - for the price - were just a little bit disappointing. Price per person €10–20 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Ok where to start. It took 12 minutes from the moment we were seated until someone gave us the menu and only because we asked for it. Then the food… we had the surf&turf (meat was chewy, not seasoned, shrimps were tasty and well cooked. It had a supposedly pepper sauce but it was only a brown bitter liquid) and half lobster (warning, if you are hungry do not order the lobster :( taste was okay but too small…) Ambiance is cozy and probably a better place to only have a drink (lol as long as you ask if beer from the tap is really from the tap). Nice restaurant and location, toilets smelly. I got one cocktail sgroppino and the wooden straw was with lipstick!! Never the less I bypassed this one even if the family was insisting to change it!! I said just lipstick is fine. All good till dessert, when my mother in law found a hair with a chocolate piece coming out of her Madame Bianca dessert!! Service unacceptable, the waitress did not pick up the dessert to send it to the kitchen and they did not remove it off from the first bill and we had to instruct her that this is ridiculous and unprofessional!! Beautiful setting, disappointing food To start with the positives. The restaurant is big and tastefully decorated in a rustic lounge, beach club style. Right on the beach with spectacular views of waves and sunsets. Service is friendly, swift and attentive. Toilets fine. However, the quality and creativity of the kitchen is a true let down and the term ‘tourist trap’ comes to mind. Carpaccio and fresh bread OK. Main course kibbeling (deep fried fish nuggets) and pizza carbonara OK. But the sea bass absolutely lacked any flavour, not even salt or pepper. And the BBQ procureur, supposedly a steak glazed with mustard and honey, was so dry and flavourless and had the appearance of overcooked pork chops instead of juicy BBQ steak. When asked if all was OK, this was also mentioned to our waiter. For dessert the menu showed a ‘sinaasappel magnum’ with ‘dulce de leche’. We ordered this, not ever imagining that this was literally a Magnum ice cream popsicle of orange and vanilla flavour, put to rest on a plate with some garnish around it (see photo). When eating the ice cream we all noticed a strong fishy smell, so we imagine they store ice cream and frozen seafood in the same freezer. To top it off the bill had extra beer and wine items that we did not order. At check out this all was mentioned. Let’s hope they take these remarks seriously and improve quickly, because this restaurant’s setting deserves a much better kitchen. For us the food was unfortunately a big disappointment.

Atmospherically decorated restaurant. Extensive menu, prices a bit hefty though. Friendly staff. Also open in the winter months. Still miss some character, it is all a bit too nice and tightly decorated as in an interior magazine.

Food Taster

The stuff walked by so many times, but as you can see dog sheet is still laying in the middle of the restaurant! The stuff are very unfriendly and not qualified, can’t answer simple questions about menu they have. We asked to bring us a sweet bear, and got very bitter one… The food was terrible. Meat from grill was cold! Fish had no taste. It was very disappointing experience…. Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person €100+

Really beautiful establishment, but prices are a bit hefty, like more than 30 euros for half a lobster with very chewy meat. The manager was very friendly but some of the staff really need to take a hospitality course. The waitress that served our drinks put the glass on the table and simply threw the coaster next to it. She was walking around looking totally disinterested and often seemed at a loss where to go. A shame because with the right staff in the kitchen and serving this place must be amazing. Very unfriendly staff. First ignored us, then seated us at a table but told us we had to leave again in an hour and then we just left after they left us waiting without a menu and no drinks for 20 minutes. Good thing we at least brought our own snack 😂
