Such a well organized store, the gentleman who runs it is well informed on what he is selling! One of the reasons I bought a blue cheese I’ve never heard of and a spread I have never tried. If you’re ever in town stop by, you’d be surprised of what is in stock!

We had a beautiful charcuterie board from The California Commissary and the owner was SUPER helpful and they have a great selection. They also have a nice selection of artisan chocolate. Highly recommend!

Amazing and incredible all around!! We stopped on the way back from Yosemite for a snack - the charcuterie snack box we purchased was delicious! The selections inside were so good we purchased more of a few of the items. The aged Gouda is perfection. Every time we go to Yosemite we will be stopping here - on the way there and the way back! Thank you for a wonderful experience!

The Californian Commissary is a specialty food store in Mariposa, California, that sells a variety of charcuterie, cheeses, breads, and other accompaniments. They also offer a selection of prepared foods, such as sandwiches and salads. I recently had the opportunity to visit The Californian Commissary and I was very impressed. The store well-organized, and the owner is friendly and knowledgeable. I was particularly drawn to the wide variety of charcuterie on offer. I've been in the store several times and it's my go to place for making a board. Overall, Im very impressed with The Californian Commissary. There products are of the highest quality and the owner and his daughter are friendly and knowledgeable. Great guy. Really looks out for you. Recommended the duck Salami and truffle cheese amongst other things. Even gave us a spare cooler and ice pack for out journey. Five stars all around my friend

I recently visited this store and was blown away by its fantastic selection of freshly cut meats and cheeses. They had everything from prosciutto to salami, and the cheeses were equally impressive. I also loved the variety of supplemental pairings, like crackers and jams, that they offered. Overall, it was a great experience. I highly recommend this store to any food lover looking for high-quality charcuterie or planning for a perfect picnic in Yosemite or Mariposa.

We were traveling from Yosemite to Big Sur, and our stop in Mariposa was magnificent thanks to the discovery of the Californian Commissary. They were in the midst of preparations for their grand opening, but nonetheless, we were able to buy some delicious chocolate, cheese, and a charcuterie board. We couldn't resist and devoured everything within 30 minutes of being in the car.

Just had a lovely cheese board at The Californian and it was fabulous! Wonderful variety of California cheeses with all the fixings. The shop also has many delicious treats perfect for home or gifts for others. The owner Evan is very knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. This place is ideal for picnics, concerts in the park or just a romantic night at home. Just wish we had one in my town!
