Visited Houston from the Northeast and we were in search of authentic Mexican food. Obviously Ninfa’s was highly recommended and it did not disappoint. To start, the house margaritas are delicious and I would definitely recommend. We got them on the rocks. The Queso and guacamole were some of the best I’ve ever had. I’m not a fan of cilantro but it was not overwhelming/super noticeable in the guacamole. I couldn’t stop eating it. I also ordered the carnitas plate and shared steak fajitas with the table. All of the food was phenomenal and I will be dreaming about this food for weeks to come. Ninfa’s is the best! On our trip to Houston, my son found this place and said that their fajitas are famous. So we tried and I am glad we did. The portion is really big. I think 2 people can eat one medium fajitas. They don't have too many vegetarian (or meatless) options but at least vegetarian fajita (without rice) is good. Our first visit and the food did not disappoint. The food is delicious. The taco meat and fajita meat is the real stunning and amazing items. I didn’t really like the rice and I love other places Mexican rice. The beans were ok, about average and as expected, I’ve had better. The hibiscus margaritas are amazing and delicious. The front door was a bit confusing but everyone was helpful to show us the way. Parking is very limited. We sat at the bar but the bar stools lean backwards and have no backs, it was really uncomfortable. All the bar staff was so friendly. The food and drinks are expensive, over $100 for two people.
