I used to love this place. Great food, fun vibe. Nice people. But we took our friends there for a nice dinner and we all ordered. The salmon salad was inedible. Our friend just ate a few bites and stopped. The burgers were ok but they completely forgot my order. I never got to eat. Then when I asked to take it off my bill the first response wasn’t I am sorry but “well let you take it home”. It wasn’t that good - not good enough to take home. I was so disappointed. Super cute garage-themed bar in downtown Covington. We didn’t try the food this time but the brunch menu looked good. Plenty of local beers on tap including Braxton. Easy walking from Main Strasse. There was live music going on outside, and the garage doors to the bar were open since it was nice out. Meal type Other Price per person $10–20 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I always enjoy coming to the Standard for brunch! The renovated garage is full of mechanical art, leaving you with plenty to view and enjoy. Servers are friendly and quick, cocktails are tasty. Chicken nuggets are out of this world 🚀 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Went for lunch on Sunday afternoon and was able to get seated outside with no issues. Overall the vibe or design of The Standard as others have mentioned is very neat! They’ve got foosball, corn-hole, and pool table inside. When it came to the food however both of the burgers we ordered were very average and for the price of 14 bucks, left a bit to be desired. Sides: onion rings and fries were great. I’d recommend getting something to eat before hand and grabbing some drinks here!

Great food. I loved the deviled eggs especially. I really enjoyed their cocktails also. Cool decor and environment. I ate all the other deviled eggs before deciding to take a pic lol

This is an old mechanic shop that has been renovated into nice dining spot. I really love the look of the place. My friend and I started off with deviled eggs they were really good the grippo flavor was an interesting add would recommend. Although I didn’t drink my friend LOVED her martini I would love to come back and try the different drink options. The food was average they do have some of the best french fries I’ve ever had ! My friend really loved her potato salad. (Although I hope the staff wears hairnets because we did find a piece of hair in the potato salad ) I originally got the fish sandwich. I didn’t care for it. I was able to switch my order out. I just got a fried chicken sandwich which was pretty average as well. Originally we came for brunch. I was disappointed to find out that it was only on the weekends, but I will definitely have to come back and give brunch a try outside of that I would visit to have a drink with friends and some appetizers. As a person who spent 13 yrs in the restaurant business it's difficult to impress me with food and atmosphere. The Standard IS that restaurant. If you are familiar with the old Standard Oil service stations this place will feel familiar. The decor is amazing with old tires on a shelf above the bar; reminiscent of the old tire racks. The chandelier's are amazing. The food TOP NOTCH, a difficult food to make is an eggs Benedict and if you want to impress me then this is the meal, HOWEVER this is not your typical Eggs Benedict this one had brisket and WAS AMAZING, very juicy great flavor, eggs where poached to perfection. Also our group ordered French Toast which is WAY better then any chain breakfast restaurant. Chicken and Waffles BETTER then Taste of Belgium. Staff was friendly overall atmosphere amazing WILL DEFINITELY BE BACK

What a gem! We went here on a Sunday and had brunch. My husband got the Benedict and I got the breakfast burger. Both were melt in your mouth good. The burger was fantastic. The place is very cute and eclectic inside and outside with yard games outside. Service was excellent and fast—we will definitely be back! Service Dine in Meal type Brunch Price per person $20–30

Great place. Atmosphere and overall setup is so unique and chill. My friend and I brought our dogs and the first thing the waiter did was make sure everyone had cups and bowls of water. The food was great. Service for refills was not so good, I did have to wait for a decent bit between refills. Waiter was nice and friendly. Would definitely go back. While the venue is really fantastic, the drinks were lacking. This is an old mechanic shop that has been renovated into a really awesome bar. We didn't order anything from the food menu tonight but hope to do so soon. The drinks were so sweet and lacking overall sophistication. There's an awesome area outside and a pool table inside.
