Have been eating at Tom’s since the 70’s Had an issue tonight, called in order and at pick up was told that they gave my order to someone else and they were going to bring it back so they did not start a replacement order. They seemed confused that I did not want a pizza that was being returned. They remade the order and apologized for the mix up but management should make it clear that orders that are returned should go in the trash and mixups should be started as soon as they are noticed. I will continue using Tom’s and offer this as a process improvement. Price per person $10–20 Food: 5 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 3 Recommended dishes Meatball Sub

I asked for a recommendation and the gentleman behind the counter (came to America from Venezuela in the 80's), recommended the Italian sub. He made it himself and it was amazing. It was toasted, it had just a touch of heat, the flavor was great....great service and great food! Highly recommend! If you are staying in Newton and looking for something easy and delicious after a day of exploring Boston, please give Tom's a try! We got back to Newton pretty late and needed something quick. We ordered online at the reccomendation of our Airbnb host, and we were not disappointed! The pizza and appetizers were amazing! The employees were fantastic, and the price was exceptional! I’ve lived in Boston 25 years and traveled across the world. Tom’s is the best pizza I’ve ever had genuinely. I’ve known the workers for 20 years and they are so nice and absolute newton legends. You simply cannot go wrong ordering here. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

I moved here less than 2 months ago and love walking here for a quick slice of pizza at lunch. I've probably been there 6 times in 8 weeks. My wife loves the beef gyro dinner and I just tried the Italian calzone. Sooooo much meat, it was fantastic. I have been a customer at this place for years the food is really good but it’s so sad that is going down hill, tonight was a total disappointment, the last time I was there they gave me someone else’s order luckily I was around the corner when I noticed went back and the cashier was “ oh someone else already bit your sub”. She seemed to imply that I should still take it and just eat around the part someone else had eaten. What kind of customer service is that? Anyway I asked for a refund since I could not wait for another sandwich to be made, tonight I ended up even more disappointed I can even say frustrated. Tonight my order was wrong again I ordered a Buffalo chicken sub with the basics lettuce, onion, tomato, cucumber and feta cheese but to my surprise I got a chicken parm sub with some Buffalo sauce,lettuce , cucumbers, tons of marinara sauce and onions. To be honest it looks like they made a mistake and then “tried” to fix it without fixing it, it was just ridiculous, when you buy something you expect to get what you ordered, so sadly tonight you lost a regular customer. Ordered a pizza online around 6:20 pm Sunday evening. A veggie pizza with no pepper, the pizza took >30 mins and wasn't as hot as I was hoping. But it tasted great and the staff were ok. Overall a good experience

From Kansas, giving Boston pizza a try. Ordered 1/2 cheese and 1/2 BBQ chicken. BBQ chicken fell apart immediately. Disappointed. Picture shows how much of the pizza we had to scrape off the plate. Cheese pizza was average, didn’t blow me away. Dough was really chewy and the crust barely had a crunch. My friends said the cheese pizza sauce was too sweet. Otherwise it was tasty enough to eat! Better than Pizza Hut but not better than my favorite local place back home.
