The service was great! We really enjoyed the salad and garlic bread, however, when our meals came out (we both ordered the scampi al forno), we were disappointed at how small and few the shrimp were. My dish had almost no flavor at all. When my husband mentioned that he enjoyed the spiciness of his dish I tasted his and he tasted mine. They were very different. His actually had flavor and heat. Also, the sauce was very watery and didn't coat the pasta at all. It looked like dirty dishwater at the bottom of our plates. I will say though that the deserts that we ordered were very good. First time here... definitely worth the drive! Appetizer calamari, 2 waters, comes with bread and salad, lasagna with meatballs and papagallo, cannoli and cheesecake...$77. Went on a Saturday, right when they opened at 4:30CST and they already had a pack of people waiting in the parking lot! Staff was very friendly and service was quick. Food was delicious, meatballs need a bit more seasoning but that's my only complaint. Papagallo was delicious!!! Who knew marinara mixed with alfredo was so good!! Good portion sizes, very filling but with appetizer, salad and bread before, that's not hard...LOL. Took dessert home, cannoli and cheesecake, sooo good!! Cheesecake was not like others, so rich tasting you can't even get through it, it was evenly balanced and flavorful...I will definitely be back!!! Great experience all around. Was on a 30 minute wait list but we were seated in only 15. Excellent service despite the restaurant being quite busy. Meatball and calamari appetizers were excellent. Entree pastas were cooked perfectly. No room for cheesecake so we'll come back again. Plan for leftovers as entrees are generously portioned. And the garlic buttered rolls make everything better! Service and atmosphere are perfect and good for special day. But the food cannot reach the expectation. If I only think about the food, I will definitely recommend olive garden since the taste of the food is quite silver but more cheaper. Dined here via a locals recommendation. Great food. Service was a tad slow after getting sat, despite getting there right after opening time and plenty of staff. Food was extremely tasty.
