Food is still good, but the service has gone FAR downhill. Stood for 15 minutes as 3 inept girls chatted and didn't wait on me. Just kept shouting, "We'll be with you in a minute!" In harsh, shrewish voices. Once they finally came over, there were 6 people behind me and they screeched at me for not taking a number. What??? No one was here when I came in. Slow as molasses getting my things and ringing me up. Other people in line gave up and left. There are other bakeries in town. I will not be coming back. I visited Villa Italia for the first time a few weeks back. The pastries and the cookies looked so good I just ordered a bunch of everything! I brought the cookies to the office for the staff to enjoy and they ate them in no time at all..........well with some of my assistance of course. Now i am having them shipped to Florida so my mother can give them out as gifts for the holiday season. 2l lb cookie box is a great corporate gift. I will be doing this moving forward. I was so fortunate to be able to have a piece of chocolate mousse marble cake that Villa Italia donated to a local community organization. Usually I don't eat anything when volunteering, but when I heard who made the cake, I had to have a piece. It was SO good! Thank you for your generous donation and the delicious cake!
