We dined at this Italian restaurant in Tempe, AZ, and much to my surprise, it was wonderful and authentic! The service was impeccable, and the atmosphere reminded me of the Italian restaurants in Littly Itlay, NYC. The food was wonderful, and even fresh made pasta! I would highly recommend it. High class Italian restaurant with an emphasis on wines. But a great dinner menu. Priced about right for a good Italian place. Music on many nights, usually a piano so folks can still chat with each other. Portions are decent, and nobody goes home hungry. The food has never disappointed. We have gone here 3 times now and tried something different each time. Excellent every time! We plan to return to keep trying different entrees. Only down side is the noise. The atmosphere is a bit loud. The music is wonderful, soft and unobtrusive but the chatter is loud. Sadly, like some of the other reviews here, the place itself is so cozy and rustic inside but the food was bad. I was so excited to have found a new favorite restaurant until I tasted the food. I am Italian. I eat Italian a lot, and this food was not authentic. It was terrible. My daughter had spaghetti and meat sauce and they didn’t drain the fat off of the meat so she had tons of Grease on her plate. I ordered the eggplant Parmesan and there is no way you could taste any eggplant. It was just nothing but bland sauce and tons of cheese.. The garlic bread was just cheap soft bread you get from the supermarket and the meatballs could not have been homemade. We threw everything out when we got home. Such a shame, because as many wtote the restaurant is very quaint, and we had a wonderful server, but the food was not good at all. Food: 1 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
