Perfectly cooked blue cheese, scotch eggs and parmesan can make a favorable impression on you. Taste good vanilla ice cream, biscuits and bread pudding. The wine list is extensive, every visitor will find something that suits their taste. Great espresso, ginger beer or strawberry lemonade are worth a try here. The accommodating staff welcomes people all year round. The nice service is a great plus of this bar. Reasonable prices are what you are to pay for your meal. The cute decor and homey atmosphere let guests feel relaxed here. As for the Google rating, Woodblock achieved 4.4.

I went yesterday with some friends (6 of us). The food was okay. However, the service was awful. The waitress was rude. I’ve never seen a waitress have such an attitude and be disrespectful. I don’t think it’s fair that a 20% tip is included when it’s a party of 6. The waitress shouldn’t have gotten the amount she did for a tip. She should have gotten much less or nothing at all with her treatment towards us. It seems like this type of arrangement forces you into tipping poor service. Nice ambiance and service. The food was average though - like a restro-bar. The French toast were thick and chewy - quite average. The bread in the egg Benedict was also chewy. Vege tacos were ok too. The vegan bun was average too. Food: 3 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 5

Swanky atmosphere, fantastic service, very delicious food. I love gnocchi and their's was right up there on my list of favorites. The Mac salad that came with the chicken was SO good! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Woodblock is one of our go-to places for a reliable evening out. They have this wonderful smores cocktail right now that's definitely noteworthy. We ordered the brisket gnocchi and the fried chicken. Gnocchi was tasty but the brisket was over cooked and hard to chew. Flavor was very good. The fried chicken was tasty (hints of honey that made you want to keep eating), but it was a lot of chicken…. When it said it came with a side of pasta salad with expected more than a quarter cup. The bananas foster bread pudding was the highlight of the meal for me. Recommend to try once (great for out of towners), would really like to go back for their brunch which looks amazing. Service and ambiance was very good :) Update*** went back for brunch….very good and recommend! Biscuits and gravy were delicious! Our party of 8 came in for Sunday brunch and thankfully there was room for us even though we did not have a reservation. Their text message system to let you know when a table was ready is efficient. We just went across the street so that our kids could play in the downtown park. The food was excellent and both adults and kids had great eats. Our 11-year-old thought the salmon eggs benedict was the best thing!! Great atmosphere, friendly staff made for a memorable brunch! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
