We had a really pleasant experience at the restaurant. The food was delicious, fairly priced and prepared very fast despite being highly visited. Waiters were also extremely friendly, polite and skillful. The restaurant is well placed and situated near main attractions of Valletta city. This is a very friendly restaurant. In fact, their English is better than mine, haha! I have visited the restaurant twice recently. As they say, they cook good carbonara. I love their meals. Btw I'm a tiramisu lover. Once you try it once, you will be obsessed with their tiramisu. I think I will revisit this restaurant again and again. To start with, believe it when they say their English is not good! We didn't double check something and we had to wait more than half an hour for our order! Don't assume that it's a joke, their English is really not good! We had Lasagna, Gnocchi Alla Sorrentina and Parmigiana. The Lasagna and Gnocchi were OK, not good but ok. The Parmigiana was REALLY good! We didn't try the carbonara which looked like a mistake cause everyone had it! Honestly, Amsterdam has some many Italian restaurants which have much better Pasta. Overall, the flavor of Pasta is below average compared which I had before. However, Pistachios Tiramisu is super good. Also, remember to reserve. Otherwise, you won’t walk in successful or you need to sit outside in the cold weather. The place is small and for dinner seems like you should reserve. We luckily found a table if we promised to be down in an hour. The food was good, and the team was italian with the waitress being originally from veneto like me. Loved the special of the day, and the portion was generous. You can find the traditional homey type of dishes: gnocchi, cacio e pepe, carbonare, if you are frving italian in malta, this is a good option! we entered because of the sign at the front which said : "we speak broken english but our carbonara are GOOD". the sentence was really funny but when we entered in the restaurant the waiters were not really smiling at the limit sad even though they seem to be fulled. It seems like it was a previlege to dinner at their restaurant .we orders mozzarella and tomates ( nothing special ) , then the CARBONNARA ( which is the speciality of the house but i didn't like the pork was too much cooked , like burnt and the taste was really strong because they used pork cheeks. really disappointed dish), the lasagna ( was food but not Wouah )and a tiramisu ( Really GOOD , unfortunately only the desert was AMAZING) . Got the eggplant parmesan and two different pastas, overall food was very good. Pasta tasted fresh and all the flavors were well balanced. Overall, I had a good experience at this Italian restaurant. The food was good.. The parmeggiana was crispy and flavorful, and the fettuccine al ragu was cooked perfectly al dente. The penne carbonara was a bit bland for my taste, but the sauce was creamy and the pasta was cooked well. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and inviting. Wonderful food!!! Italian with a Maltese twist and lovely service. Please do not miss out on this food experience when visiting Malta! Great vegetarian options:-) We were lucky to get a table by chance. A reservation is probably recommended, since this place is also popular among Maltese locals. Enjoy!
