5/4 meadery is one of the best places to have Mead in Atlanta. We loved the cozy atmosphere. The owners, Lisa and Sean were kind, friendly, and warm. They have started this business about 3 years ago, but you can't tell - their mead is not on the sweeter side, but it hits the spot and you would want to visit this meadery over and over. We love hanging out at a calm, peaceful, and friendly place now that we are out of our 20s craziness and I would recommend this place to anyone trying something new (if you haven't had mead before, you would forget about beer), people who love enjoying great company with local strangers, and people who love a friendly/inviting ambience. People around me don't know much about mead and I "discovered" mead in Hawaii first. Mead is unpopular amongst locals in Atlanta, however, of you give it a try you would LOVE it (it's made out of fermentinh honey and you can call it honey wine, but it's not wine). Try something new, something different, in a non-manstream way of enjoying and you will never regret this experience/mead. Love love love the owners, ambience, and their mead. We had their award winning mead, #1 on their menu - I sincerely don't remember the name. It's SO GOOD! #coolplacesinatlanta #worththedrive #roswell #bestplacestogotoinatlanta #meadinatlanta #breweryinatlanta #honeymead

Awesome place! I've never had mead before and it was a delicious experience. The staff are highly knowledgeable and helpful navigating taste experiences and giving recommendations. A very low-key, cozy vibe here too.

Truly an establishment I'll make a point to visit any time I'm in the area. As someone living with Crohn's, mead is one of the few alcoholic beverages that doesn't upset my stomach. The varied selection was exciting, and the knowledgeable staff was helpful. Wish I was a local to sample more of their amazing mead, but I'll be back!

Great little local meadery. Their traditional mead was very flavorful, but the Lunga (a smokey mead) was especially good. The staff were all very friendly and made the experience enjoyable. Additionally, my party was able to bring a dog, which we appreciated.
Overall, this is a great little place to try out, especially if you've never had mead before!
The cutest and most fun experience we’ll have in Roswell! This place is a magical hidden gem in downtown Roswell. We enjoyed a glass of their flagship mead while playing a game of darts! This place is adorable, rustic, quiet, and definitely the place to check out next time your in Roswell and looking for a less crowded, rich experience.
If you aren’t familiar with mead, you should get familiar! This place has something for everyone—a rye mead for the whisky drinkers, a Chardonnay aged mead for wine drinkers, a blackberry mead for the cider lovers…even a seasonal mead-margarita! Come check them out and maybe find your new obsession.
This is truly a family-owned local business and the are doing a marvelous job. The location - behind a small strip on Oak St - is so tucked-away that it feels secret and special. If you have never tried mead this is your go-to. It is NOT I repeat NOT all sweet!! The mead selection is huge, creative and always new - truly something for every palate. Everyone behind the bar is a family member, and they make their customers feel like family. Explore and enjoy this Roswell gem!

The variety of meads is impressive and delicious. It is a great little spot with helpful and friendly owners and staff. I love the flavors that have been bottled to drink at home.
Absolutely wonderful experience every single time. Has been my go to spot to get a drink or three for years now. Amazing mead and cider. Haven't had mead? It's like wine made from honey. No, it's not sweet. 5/4 specializes in flavor forward dry and semi dry. If you're on the fence, try it! You won't regret it.
Stopped in for Mead Day because of an email I got. Was our first time going. The place was cute. No one said anything when we got there. Looked like about 3 people working with maybe 10 people (including the two of us) in the place. Mentioned it was our first time stopping in and all I got was an "ok" with a shrug. No mention of mead day or flights, or any recommendations. Employees seemed a little standoff-ish. Was excited about my free shirt (spent well over the amount) but didn't get one. Didn't realize until I was almost home. Maybe I had to specifically ask for one? Not sure. Probably won't be back.
