Off the charts!! Stopped by for late afternoon snack before dinner ended up trying nearly every empanda they make. Service, quality of effort in the food just jumps at you. The guys running the show were incredible and really took time to share Argentinian food with us. Great afternoon and friendship. Highly recommend! Thanks so much! I read to so many positive reviews about this place and decided to try it! I had the Arepas with shrimp and I personally did not like it - there was a mountain of avocado, just a couple of shrimps and melted Oaxaca cheese which was somehow acid. The arepa itself felt greasy. Food: 2 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Unfortunately expectations from the other reviews were not met. Service was extremely slow with 3 cooks and 1 waitress serving 6 people. Cold empanadas were served after a 45 min wait. The waitress was kind and suggested additional empanadas/ heating what was left, but it was too late as we had 2 bites left. I have to highlight the mushroom sandwich, which had very delicious and juicy truffle portobellos with Gorgonzola. However, the side potatoes were under and overcooked as they were cut in different sizes. Hope you have a better experience! Holy unassuming place with freaking delicious food!!!! This place was recommended by a local or we never would have given it a try. We got takeout of the patacones. They are flavorful, filling, and texturally fantastic. Layers of fried plantains, avocados, tomatoes, lettuces, oaxacan cheese, mayo, and protein of your choice. It’s more than enough food for one. Honestly surprised to find something this good in Holbox. Just wow. And don’t sleep on the chimichurri sauce. Service Take out Meal type Dinner Price per person $100–200

Came here on a recommendation and we loved it so much we went back a second time! The food is absolutely delicious and very reasonably priced. I recommend trying the mushroom empanada, the ham and cheese one, and a milanesa. This will probably be enough for two people as the milanesa is big! Super friendly staff as well, and the swings at the bar make this really fun and relaxing.

The food is amazing. Everything they cook and do is self made (sauces, empanadas, Jamaica water,...) and you can watch them preparing the food - just lovely. I wish we had the experience described in the others comments alas it feels like we went into a waiting simulator instead of a restaurant. Something went wrong tonight and I don't know why. I still don't understand how we waited between 40-50 min to receive 2 cold empanadas even though there was 3 cooks for ~10 customers. The waitress was kind and asked us (quite too late) if we wanted new ones but we had already eaten them and it would have been too much food. The portobello sandwich is clearly the highlight. Thanks otherwise it would have been a sad last dinner in Holbox. Though the tasty-looking, yet undercooked roasted potatoes were there to tarnish the final act and turned the meal into an average experience. We stayed in Holbox for a week and this was the ONLY place we went to more than once, it was that good. After we discovered it, we never went anywhere else for dinner Food, service, prices, atmosphere, all absolutely amazing. The server was such a nice guy and very genuine. The food was amazing aswell.
