As we were on the way returning from the Danube Delta - we've stopped in Sibiu for the night before the second leg of the trip home. |Rubin "guesthouse" was the choice this time - however the venue is organizing private parties -and we "crashed" right into 1 of those so we could not eat at their restaurant - so went out for some dinner. (the party ended before 22:00 so we could have a good night sleep without any issues). |Parking with a good amount of places inside the courtyard of the guesthouse - free for the guests.|Room very clean and the bed comfortable - the bathroom very clean once more - so all the premises were there for a good night sleep. |Minibar in the room was loaded ... did not expect this - a very nice surprise eventually. |Breakfast - very decent , with eggs, cuts of fivers meats, tomatoes, etc ... cheese , butter , you name it - options were there in the buffet. |Payment , fast and easy at the checkout - so nothing to complain form any perspective. |So if you are a looking for a very good place for bed and breakfast - you don't need anything fancy - in that case this is a place you should consider for even more than the 1 night we've spent here.
Very nice place BUT:||Please, notice when you have a wedding or a noisy event!||We wouldn't choose this place if we would know that there is a private event.||At 12 o'clock in the night it was impossible to hear the TV inside the room!||What a pitty for such a place!||There are no rules followed concerning the noise level!||The neghborhood is very quite and nice, till these events show up!
Great location, in a quiet part of the city but not far from the city center. Rooms are of good size and very clean. The staff is very friendly and pays attention to your needs. In the morning you could grab breakfast (included with your stay) from the buffet and enjoy it outside in the garden under one of the huge umbrellas. In the afternoon and evening the same restaurant provides an array of great food from different cuisines. The prices are reasonable (dinner for 3 with 2 courses each and drinks was 177RON - approx $44) and well worth it.
I stayed at this hotel together with my wife and another family and we booked two matrimonial rooms for two nights between May 1 and May 3, 2015. Our stay at the hotel was very pleasant, the rooms were pretty much fine, but they would be more better if they were a little bigger. Also the toilets are pretty small, but ok for one person at a time. Rooms are very clean, also the bed sheets, the floors and everything else, giving a sensation of high quality room. We have a mini bar filled with a lot of product, from chocolate to every kind of drinks, both soda and alcohol. The rooms have flat screen TV, king size bed, A/C, balcony with a very nice view to the garden that was in front of hotel and also to the main entrance that is located in the restaurant summer terrace. The noise from the people that eat dinner in the summer garden were a little bit disturbing as the rooms were situated above the terrace, but the restaurant kitchen is closed after 22.30 so above that hour is ok to sleep. The hotel offer a few parking lots in the back of the building, but enough for the clients. The restaurant has a variety of products, also international and Romanian food, with a plateau that i'll recommend you, called "Roata Haiducului" - (The outlaw wheel), filled with a lot of traditional goods. In the end I must say that I enjoyed the stay at Rubin Hotel and I will definitely come back any time.
A quiet corner of town, parking on site. The room is very clean and high quality furniture and linens. Staff is extremely friendly. Breakfast was varied and tasty. We wish Ms. Liliana continue to maintain such a high level.|
Helpful staff, nice building and outside terrace, clean. ||Small rooms, quite noisy area, 40 min walk from the city center / old town. The shower in my room was drippy, after each shower the bathroom was all wet because the shower curtain was not long enough. Very poor breakfast (i had to eat elsewhere).
Average food and the rooms wild need some renovation. On the plus side you can have breakfast until 10 o'clock, but you need to take into account that the food might be cold. Nice location near the zoo and, village museum.
We had pre-ordered food since we came as a group of 15 people for 6 days in a row. We always had two choices for lunch and a nice dessert. Everything we had was tasty. The place is very clean and quite modern.
The room was exceptionally clean and had a beautiful view. The nice personnel inpressed me, as did the restaurant's excellent cuisine. In short, I have nothing but good things to say about the place, which makes me feel compelled to recommend it to people passing through Sibiu or who might be visiting the area.
