Update, went back on a tuesday night and the place was packed. They had live music which was excellent. Not as many waiters as the first time we went but they made the best out of the situation. Never waited long for anything we ordered. The food was great and the drinks were awesome. Mojitos were excellent, the beer was cold and the music was great. Do not remember the name of the band but it was a duo. A guitar and drum and both sang great. If you have never been there you must go.
The day we went they had live music. It so happened that it was Tito Auger member of a PR band called Fiel a La Vega. Place was packed but comfortable. We ordered a sampler with fried cheese, mini alcapurrias and jalapeño poppers. Also half a pound of fried beef with tostones. The wife ordered passion fruit mojito and I a Don Q limon with tonic water to start. I must say that everything was delicious. Everything on the sampler was great, as well as the fried beef which was tender and very well cooked. The mojito was one of the best my wife has tried. The service was awesome. With so many people there wait times on orders were merely a few minutes. Our waiter Eliam was great, very attentive and fast. We will definetely go back. It may be a little out of the way for us, 41 minutes away, according to google maps, we live in the metro area, but it is worth it.
The only negative thing that I would say about this place is the bathroom situation. It is a big place with a rooftop. So they can pack quite a few people. They literally have only two toilets for the entire place.

Loved this place. The mojitos were delicious. I asked for extra sugar. The mofongo had to be the best I had in PR. I drove around Corozal earlier that day, and the bus read, “Corozal, La Ciudad Del Plátano”. I don’t know if it’s true but it would explain the mofongo.

When the place is full, it takes over an hour to serve entrees. Food took over an hour and a half. We even canceled one of the order that never arrived. Place is great but make sure to visit when it's not full.

Fun, local spot in the mountains where you can have a cold beer and listen to some great live music. Medallas were a bucket of 6 for $9 which is great! We had the Tostones rellenos with Spicy Crab and the Fried Cheese with guava sauce. The food was disappointing. I do wish they used real crab meat instead of the imitation stuff. I mean, it's an island so crab meat should be easy to find. The tostones were flavorful but the fried cheese was so-so and the guava sauce was bland and watered down. Hopefully the rest of the menu is better. Bottom line, don't expect great food here. Do come for the beer and the live bands!
Excellent food!!! Carne frita was coooked yo perfection, Yuca Frita was crunchy on the outside and soft on the inside. Great music selection, a definite next visit on the agenda!!!
