The food is absolutely delicious! Their service is even more outstanding. I ordered through door dash a gluten free dish and when it arrived I noticed it looked different and that the receipt didn’t indicate gluten free (I blame DD since that has happened previously with other restaurants). I called the restaurant to check and the gentleman on the phone walked back to the kitchen and spoke with the chef. He confirmed the dish was not gluten free and to absolutely not eat it and they would remake it for me. I really appreciated how they approached this and gave me the opportunity to enjoy my dinner. The dish had so much food and was loaded with seafood. I will be a customer for life. Highly recommend!

WOW! The food is amazing! Absolutely amazing!
I have to say, the look of the restaurant inside isn’t the most appealing, it’s basically one big room and pretty loud when it’s busy.
However, the food is seriously so damn good, nothing else matters.
This place is BYOB, so make sure to bring your favorite alcoholic beverage with you! Enjoy!

I have been here a few times. The first time was when they originally opened. The food was good then. I had delicious risotto. Each time I have gone it seemed to have been declining. My most recent visit was for a birthday. We were a group of 14, and out of courtesy for the staff, we went ahead of potential dinner rush. Our server did well keeping drinks full and orders served accurately. They couldn't keep up with table bread requests. To be clear, we only asked for a second round of bread for the table. We had to rearrange the seats to give people elbow room as they refused to add another small table. The owner was not friendly at all, and every time he passed our table he wreaked of cigarette smoke. The food was average at best. There were multiple orders of chicken parm. Each one looked like it could have been prepared at home, and the flavor was lacking. It's unfortunate, but for the money spent I would rather go elsewhere.

when we first walked in -not a friendly vibe and the bright changing -room- like lighting was not inspiring. we did not have high hopes and were planning to leave BUT we stayed.
we started with the bruschetta-the topping was very nice but the bread was not-hard as a rock and not in a nice crostini kind of way.
then we each had a pasta dish and all three of them were very tasty. the pasta with the mushrooms and peas in a light cream sauce (delete the sun dried tomatoes) was absolutely delicious. the red sauce on the other two dishes was light and tasty. not acidic at all. meatballs were really large and very good. overall the food was excellent but the atmosphere left a lot to be desired. if you want excellent italian food and don’t mind the surroundings-nor a nice welcome -this is your place.

Unassuming little place but don't let that fool you. The food and service is top notch. The risotto balls are simply amazing. My wife and I go here way too often but never a regret. Highly recommend.

I have been there at least 15 times. I originally from Concordville not far from this restaurant and now live in Brigantine NJ. We come to visit my children who live 2 miles from Arugulas. This is now my favorite Italian Restaurant bar none.

Food was really good! Big portions, fresh tasting ingredients. BYOB with no corkage fee is a big plus. Our server was super friendly. The place reminded me of a little mom and pop italian place in Rome -- zero complaints! We'll definitely be back soon!
Wonderful food. The only reason I didn’t give 5 stars is the noise. We had to shout to hear eachother over the other large parties. Would not recommend for anyone who has any slight hearing impairment. I can see they tried to put some sound dampers on the ceiling. But maybe carpet or something would help?

Veal Piccata
As vegetarians, we often eat at Italian restaurants when we travel. We were staying in Northern Wilmington, DE and wanted a place that wasn’t too far, so we decided to try Arugula Ristorane in Chadd’s Ford, PA. I saw the “BYOB” on Google, but honestly it didn’t register since I’ve never seen that for a restaurant before. So, if you do go, just know they don’t sell any alcohol so you’ll need to bring your own. For us, that wasn’t much of an option since we were traveling and don’t generally drink more than one glass of wine with dinner. No biggie, but good to know. When we went in, it wasn’t very crowded, and the man at the front desk didn’t seem the least bit interested that we were there or in seating us. In fact, he just seemed kind of annoyed that we were bothering him. However, the waitress was a delight. Very friendly, very helpful. I ordered the gemelli pasta tossed with mushrooms, peas and sundried tomatoes in a lite cream sauce. It was ok - not bad, but not something I’d rave about or go back for. Overall, it seems like a better place for locals who can be regulars and bring their own bottle of wine or beer. I wouldn’t recommend it for travelers.

Been a patron for several yrs & brought many people here. Food is good and wait staff is great! The Owner at the front desk is rude, condescending and treats his customers & staff horribly. I can no longer support someone like that and will not be going back. I can find food just as good elsewhere!
