Stayed at Lotte Arai on July 19. As it was during the State of Emergency and in the summer, there was almost nobody staying at the hotel except for a kids' camp and a few other families. We stayed in the Arai building.
Our stay included breakfast, at either the Plate (Western) or Asahi (Japanese). We chose Asahi in the Lodge, which is just next door to the Arai building.
We were presented with 2 choices and we both chose option 1 (hot pot set). It was delicious and lots of variety from fish to veggies. They had a self-serve beverage bar with juices, coffee/espresso, tea, fruit vinegar as well. Great option for breakfast and the setting was quite nice with the large windows facing the mountain activities.
Great restaurant! The quality of food is decent and was very tasty 😋 Both the breakfast and dinner were 美味しい!

I'm not a complainer or anything, I only post with the intention of improving the food culture of the world. Since it is a large restaurant like this, I find it strange that he keeps serving so-called "pre-made" food rather than food that we have prepared ourselves, such as to prevent food poisoning. This is a pathetic meal that only exposes the bad parts of Japanese food, which is said to be a country full of additives.
We had breakfast, including a preview of dinner. From what I saw, most of the food served was purchased from specialized vendors, heated and served out of a bag.
Once you eat it, you'll understand.
If you just use food to satisfy your hunger, that's fine. Since it's a hotel, there are many problems such as profitability, loss, food poisoning, craftsmen, and employees. However, this was a hotel restaurant that was not typical of the ordinary people, so I felt really disappointed. Too little love.
I want her staff members to think even a little bit and remember the pure Japanese food that their mothers made, and I want them to think about the significance of conveying true Japanese food to people overseas. As a Japanese person, it was embarrassing. Thank you very much.
私はクレーマーでもなんでもなく 世の中の食文化が良くなることだけ考えて投稿してます。この様な大きなレストランですから食中毒対策云々、自分達で調理したモノでなく いわゆる” できあい” のモノを出しまくる姿勢にはどうかと思います。 添加物大国と言われる日本食の悪い部分のみを曝け出す情け無い食事です。
私達は夕飯の下見も含めて朝食をいただきました。 私の見たところ 出ていた殆どが専門業者から仕入れて 温めて袋から出した料理。
食べれば一発でわかります。
エサとして空腹感を満たすだけならばそれで良し。ホテルですから採算効率、ロスの問題、食中毒、職人さん、従業員の問題と色々とあるでしょう。しかし決して庶民的ではないホテルのレストランでコレには心から残念な気持ちになりました。愛情がなさすぎる。
少しでも 考えて スタッフの皆様のお母様が作ってくれた純粋な和食を思い出して欲しい、そして海外の人々に正しい日本食を伝える意義などから考えて欲しいです。 日本人として恥ずかしい限りでした。 どうもありがとう。
