Arrived and we were greeted and seated immediately. Admittedly we am not well versed in Japanese food. We asked our waiter for extra time to look over the menu. We asked several questions and our waiter was somewhat helpful. I started with a Sushi Appetizer which was served with 5 pieces of sushi and was very tasty. My wife, had a chicken hibachi diner which was served hot and I ordered the chicken teriyaki. We did venture into the Rolls and other items on the menu but look forward to trying other items.

We arrived at Asaki around 6:30 p.m. and were seated immediately. The restaurant was at about 70% capacity, but we were waited upon quickly and our food came out in about 15 minutes.
The filet and shrimp combination was very good. I received about six pieces of each, along with vegetables and rice, clear soup, and a green salad consisting of iceberg lettuce, cucumbers, and a carrot-ginger salad dressing. The soup and salad offerings were small yet tasty. The filet is made to order. I chose medium, and it was grilled to perfection, as were the shrimp. The fried rice was also good. I really enjoyed the teriyaki sauce, which was flavorful and not at all salty.
The Massaman Curry dish was also a delight, with fresh vegetables and tender chicken. Although it wasn't as advertised (there were no asparagus), it was quite good, and the curry was very mild and pleasing, as Massaman should be.
The restaurant has a wet and sushi bar. Sushi lovers can rejoice, as there was a very large selection to choose from.
Our server was polite, as was the rest of the staff. The only thing I particularly noticed was the floor, which could've used a small broom and a dustpan in some places. All in all, it was a pleasant dining experience.

First time customer, won't be returning. We are regulars at Shanghai in Dallas but I wanted teriyaki tofu so we tried Asaki. We spent $48 on a kids shrimp hibachi, teriyaki tofu, a side of hibachi vegetables and an order of vegetables with udon noodles. The kids shrimp hibachi didn't come with the noodles we ordered, the cucumber on top of the salad was cut in a way that only makes me think it shouldn't have been served. The tofu was breaded but soggy and half of the entire container was onions. The side of vegetables and the vegetables with noodles were also FILLED with onions. I love onions. But tonight we spent $48 on a meal that was 60% onions. Not cool. Shanghai all the way.

Food is good a nice variety esp if you like spicy sushi. I'm not a huge fan wish there were more non spicy options but they do accommodate. Service is fast and restaurant is clean.

I haven’t had the chance to try their hibachi, but the sushi is great. The restaurant itself has a welcoming and comfortable atmosphere. The only thing keeping me from giving five stars is that the service seems a bit disorganized when they’re busy. I recently visited with friends on a Saturday night when the restaurant was at its busiest and no one seemed to know how to manage the customers with a reservation for hibachi and the customers waiting to be seated in the dining area, so they just ignored everyone for about ten minutes. Fortunately, our patience paid off because we had a great meal.
Food is good, always consistent, waitstaff personable & attentive. Considering that the fish served is caught thousands of miles away from Dallas, the sushi & sashimi are always decent to good. We go regularly & are satisfied with the meal, friendliness, and overall good vibe. :)
My favorite place to order fresh rolls! I return often. Kind and efficient staff. Presentation of food is always spot on. Prices are fair.

We are so lucky to have a good sushi place in the middle of nowhere. I love their sushi and hibachi takeout and they are always so kind. I’ve had sushi in Japan many times and the fish is still very fresh and delicious for being in America. I’ll continue to support this place while I’m in the area :)
