Review: A Hidden Gem in Phu Quoc - Au Bon Pain
During our three-week stay in Vietnam, we were fortunate enough to stumble upon a delightful bakery in Phu Quoc. While Vietnamese cuisine is undeniably delicious and satisfying, there are times when one craves something familiar from home, such as a good cup of coffee, a flaky croissant, or a delectable sandwich with ham and cheese. And that's where Au Bon Pain comes in!
Managed by a French owner, this charming bakery truly understands the essence of hospitality and delivers exceptional baguettes. A visit to Au Bon Pain is definitely worthwhile, especially if you find yourself yearning for a taste of home. We were blown away by the warm atmosphere and the superb quality of their baguettes.
Upon entering the bakery, we were greeted by friendly owners who were more than happy to assist us. The aroma of freshly baked goods wafted through the air, instantly whetting our appetites. The variety of options available was impressive, from traditional croissants to unique pastries infused with local flavors.
We couldn't resist ordering their signature baguette, filled with generous portions of ham and cheese. Each bite was a delightful combination of crusty bread, savory meat, and creamy cheese. The ingredients were clearly fresh and of excellent quality, making it a truly satisfying experience.
The café itself was cozy, with comfortable seating arrangements and a relaxing ambiance. We enjoyed savoring our treats while sipping on a perfectly brewed cup of coffee. The owners attentiveness and genuine warmth added to the overall charm of the place.
Au Bon Pain is undoubtedly a haven for those seeking a taste of home in Phu Quoc. Whether you're craving a comforting croissant or a mouthwatering baguette, this bakery delivers beyond expectations. We wholeheartedly recommend paying them a visit; you won't be disappointed.
