Great barbeque, interesting atmosphere. New experience for me as a Brit, I enjoyed the good and the simple menu, just need to remember that chips are crisps and not French fries! I had a brisket sandwich with spicy BBQ sauce and I really enjoyed it, I also tried the nachos which were fun and the coleslaw which is awesome! Pop in for BBQ, I'm sure you'll enjoy it Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $20–30 Food: 5 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 4 Recommended dishes Chips

#BamBamsBBQ is a local Texas style Barbecue place in Orem. Having Barbecue all over the USA we weren’t sure how they’d rank. Overall they were pretty good. We did take out as we were bringing food home to Mum. The two sides were excellent. We ordered a pint of each which was a good amount for three of us, with leftovers. The #PotatoSalad had a strong dill pickle flavor which was great to cut thru the rich meats. My husband really enjoyed it too. The #Coleslaw is more vinegar based, less creamy than some purveyors, which is my preference. The slaw had great flavor, often #BBQ coleslaws are lacking, to me, But not Bam Bams. For meats we went with three choices, a half pound each, which was enough for three of us with some leftover. #PorkRibs had good flavor and smoke, but skimpy on the meat. The #brisket had great bark, which I loved, and was moist and tasty. We went with the more fatty brisket portion, as that is where the flavor is. The #PulledPork was gorgeous. Good amount of fat and smoky flavor. I loved seeing the worker take a slab of luscious pork and pull it fresh. The three sauces were all unique and tasty. The more sweet one was molasses based which gave it great deep, sweet flavor. The more vinegar one had nice acid to it. And then the third sauce was tangy, sweet and was a favorite as it tasted more unique, Kind of a cross of the other two. Really I was surprised with how good Bam Bams BBQ was. I look forward to trying more from there. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

Top tier barbecue restaurant!!!! If you're looking for a barbecue place that gets as close as possible to Texas barbecue, this is where to go! I've only tried their brisket and turkey, but both are amazing! Especially because turkey is hard to cook right. Extra bonus of great bread, tasty and varied barbecue sauces, classic sides (caveat: I only tried the potato salad, but they all looked good!), and one of the fancy, multi-select coke machines. Oh!! And the prices are really reasonable! Only cons: definitely a smaller restaurant without a ton of parking. I can imagine it'd get really busy really easily. The swacho is the way to go. So much food and really good. The beef sandwich was also great but simple. I was hoping to love the sides but we didn’t, they were just ok. We tried all the sides except beans. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5 Recommended dishes Nacho Cheese -Chopped Beef
[Preface]I live in The South, I have only had Texas BBQ once in my life, the only time I went to Dallas. This place is average where is counts and below average where it doesn't. I would day BBQ in name only. Brisket had too much salt and generally lacked flavor, super disappointing. EPIC FAIL COMING UP NEXT. For a BBQ restaurant that even includes Carolina BBQ sauce, when I ordered, the gentleman with the glasses decided to be condisending when I said "1/2 brisket 1/2 barbecue" this man said "it's all BBQ, so what do you want". Times likes these I remember my wife saying "Darling there is a reason Jesus loves everybody, unconditionally". Bless his heart. A BBQ restaurant (who business is BBQ) doesn't know in The South barbecue IS pork, with variations of said pork. The term "pulled pork" came from Kroger grocery stores in the midwest. Nevermind the fact BBQ originates from South East. Imagine a restaurant calls Snowies Powder you walk in and or 1/2" of slush and a half pound of powder, the dude looks at you and says it's all snow what do you mean by powder. That's how I felt. Atmoshphere is like a new jersey restaurant deli. When I asked for a mixed plate or sample platter. The guy with glasses abruptly said we don't do this, this like a deli. Truth! This is not a BBQ pit, as all true BBQ restaurant have mixed plates or sample platters to showcase the pit master cooking ability. In fact if its the first time at the restaurant, that is the recommended route to get you hooked. I highly doubt there is a 6'-4" 320lb bubba back their smoking the brisket. Now for the sides. Huge epic fail again the cole slaw is vinger based which I do like. But they have it in a plastic bin, not a metal container, ergo it oxidizes and turns brown, tastes Mid. Tater salid has way to much Mustard and pickles to make is overbearing, skip it. So should you go there? Depends. No if you want a South East experience as only Southern thing there is their BARBACUE, that is legit. Just do a take out order and eat it while watching Outerbanks and skip everything else. Yes, do go if you like the abrupt arrogance of Northerns and enjoy expectations of knowing exactly what you want to order. Also go if you like gross Tater salad and average slaw, and by the way, To add insult to injury they can't even do a Carolina BBQ sauce right as it had a hint of tomato in it, not the spices and vinegar. Me personally, when I am in Utah, I will just stick with Chili's, at least least is not as expensive Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $30–50 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 1
Our food was so so so melt-in-your-mouth good! The flavor was just right without being overpowering. The meat was tender, and juicy. Everyone at our table ordered something different, and everything was exceptional. Why 4 stars then? The sides need some improvement. No one ate more than a couple of bites of any side dish we ordered. We were just not fans. Potato salad, baked beans, and mac and cheese were a miss from us. Food: 4 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
We tried the pulled pork nachos, the beef brisket sandwich with cheddar, the pulled pork sandwich with pepper Jack cheese, three pork ribs and some potato salad. The flavor of all the meat was very good. They had three types of bbq sauce on each table and I liked all of them. I wish they would have heated up the meat a little more (it was not very warm). The chips that came in the nachos were nothing special. The potato salad had a strong flavor of dill I think. It was good but I was tired of eating it before I finished mine. Next time I will probably order the Cole slaw or the Mac and cheese. We all agreed that this is some of the best bbq in the area and we plan to go back. The meats here are amazing. I love getting the sandwiches with 1/3lb of meat. Their BBQ sauces pair so well with the meat. I tried the Potato Swacho when I went last - Amazing! Imagine nachos but with a backed potato instead of chips and loaded up with your choice of meat. We have only eaten here once and we got turkey for thanksgiving. The service was fantastic and fast, and the price was reasonable. The turkey was not great, it was kind of dry and average. Would definitely be willing to try other BBQ here though. Also when I tried to call ahead their phone seemed to be having issues and they couldn't hear me when I called across two different phones. I’ve been to Bam Bams so many times over the years and they’ve never let me down. Seriously one of the best barbecue joints in the state and it has a great story behind it and the owner. You can’t go wrong with any part of their menu but I always go for the brisket combo meal. They also sell meat by the pound but I’ve only had the sandwiches. Parking is pretty good even though it’s not very well marked, there’s length of space available. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch Price per person $10–20 Recommended dishes 1 2 lb of Brisket Plate
