Came with family. 1st time here. Enjoy the food. I got the choose 3 and got the ribs, pork, brisket. Food was nicely smoked and delicious with their spicy BBQ. Other bbq was good, but my favorite was the spicy. Price is reasonable, especially for good smoked meat. If you like a good smoke barberque, I request that you try this place. Been here several times over the years . Usually it’s decent, used to be really good. The service was fine but the pork was REALLY, REALLY bad . Couldn’t eat it , but hopefully some critters outside might enjoy it. $15 + for a piece of garlic bread and tiny bowl of premium up charge side of Mac n cheese . In town for work. I’m from Texas and we must do barbecue a little differently. Perhaps it was because it was late in the day, the restaurant was getting ready to close, not really sure. The brisket was very dry and tough to eat. I literally had to pull on it to take bites out of it. It may have been an off day for the cooks, but I have to keep it real. The service was good, though, nice and friendly, and the food did come out quickly, take out. However, this is one place I don’t plan on ever going back to visit. I wish this place was more consistent with the food. This is my go to when I want to treat myself to a good lunch. The last time I ordered it was delicious, meat was juicy and tender, but not this time. My brisket was cut into thick slabs which were dry. I hate the fact that there is no seasoning or rub on the brisket or the ribs, because with it I think the meat would be outstanding! the sauce gives the ribs the flavor, I think the meat should have its own flavor without the sauce. When you walk in, the restaurant smells like an authentic BBQ joint, but the food did not live up to my expectation. The food arrived warm/lukewarm at best. The smoke sausage was not really smoky; the chicken was dry and tough and not cuttable with the butter knife provided. The menu says 6oz of chicken, but I think the 6oz included the wing bone and all an d in reality was probably more like 3oz of consumable meat. The brisket was somewhat dry also. The BBQ baked beans tasted exactly like store-bought beans with a little brown sugar added; nothing authentic there. I couldn't decide on a favorite BBQ because there wasn't a whole lot of differentiation amongst them, except for the Original which was decidedly mustardy. If you're just looking for BBQ, this place will fit the bill. If you're looking for an authentic BBQ experience, you won't find it here. Be prepared to wait for refills. Terrible service. Food was memorable.. and not in good way. BBQ chicken and pork were terrible. Thr brisket was good. But I ate it all with an empty cup. They forgot one if my sides. Won't be back. I could deal with ordering brisket next time, but the horrible service was enough to keep me away for good. I had the brisket, with Cole slaw and sweet potato fries. Delicious!! I needed a place to plug in a laptop, and they were very helpful. The server was friendly and the food came out quickly. When you walk in, you smell that smokehouse smell. It has a small menu, which in my eyes has a focus on their craft. The food is phenomenal. Generous portions as well.
