We came in late on a weeknight and were very welcomed by the staff. The waitress had lots of menu favorites and recommendations. We sat at tables near the bar and you could tell there were several regulars conversing with the bartenders. I could tell this was a Bel Air favorite spot… we ordered entree salads, soup, and an appetizer and all came out quickly. I also appreciated the wine menu. First time here and wow! From walking in the door being seated and then being greeted by Bailey my server what a great experience. They open at 11am I walked in at 11:15 and the place was packed with diners. That is a great sign. Then…the food just excellent. I had the Shrimp Cargot…yep it’s served just like Escargot (see my pics) and fantastic. My Prime rib burger with Caramelized onions, Swiss with a side of horseradish sauce and au jus was delightful. The horseradish sauce had a good kick, as it should. Lastly, a huge shout out to Bailey! Friendly and spot on service. This place excellent!! Superb service! Our server was one on the best i have had. Prompt, friendly and very kind. Food came out quickly and with a smile. My sister in law and I visited the restaurant yesterday for the first time. I wish I lived here because I would definitely be a regular patron. Barrett's on the Pike does it all extremely well: Very delicious food, excellent and friendly staff, including the manager, the setup of the restaurant, everything! We were very happy with our experience from entering the restaurant to leaving. There were so many delicious items on the menu we had a difficult time trying to figure out what to get. Cocktails were great, dirty gin martini was extra dirty (which I prefer). Can't really recommend the bacon martini. First sip wasn't too bad with a good balance of maple and bacon with bourbon; but as you approached the bottom half it got way too sweet. Almost as if you were drinking syrup unfortunately. I came in and was in awe! I love how bright and airy it is in this restaurant. The decor is my favorite color, shades of blue. Mariam greeted me with a smile when I walked in. She even walked over with me to my bar seat with menus. I was able to sit immediatley, the countertop was clean. Scott attended to me immediately and introduced Emma. They were both friendly, and attentive. Emma was sure to offer me water and grabbed me a cold glass. I wanted chicken and waffles but also wanted to try the French toast so Scott suggested I get the French toast with a kid size chicken tenders and instead of fries try it with fruit. OMG it was sooooo delicious! Thank you Scott for the great suggestion. I loved the presentation, the taste and the portion size. When the ladies brought it out, they had smiles on their faces and complimented me on my nails and attire. Who doesn't love a compliment to go along with good food. I had a mimosa, well made and tried Scott's old fashioned, he did a great job...everyone doesn't know how to make a old fashion but he did a great job..I'm hoping they will have some Sunday football RAVENS specials this football season..I will be back to enjoy lunch or dinner. Went here for brunch with some friends. It was crowded during 1230. We sat at the bar and ordered mimosas. The service was a little slow at the bar but it got better once we were seated at our table. I ordered the crab egg Benedict, which was delicious. The potatoes were a little hard. I would definitely come here again maybe during a time when it isnt so crowded. For being a restaurant in a strip mall this restaurant does a god job with its door to welcome you in to a nice meal. It has a mixture of food and palate choices ranging from hamburgers to scallops and crab cakes. The service was good. Personally I found the food a little bland and needing more spices. But, I would recommend for a local restaurant in the area and go back. However, I would probably just get the hamburger.
