A very relaxed venue with great coffee and fresh cake within Robertson Garden Word nursery. The seating outdoor on the well manicured laws lends itself to a tranquil stopover either shopping or o ly passing through. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 4

We came here from the U.K. what an incredible find, What wonderful food, a great menu with food I could only dream of making. Added to that the awesome location amongst the nursery which made for a lovely after lunch walk around. Very courteous staff with good service too. Thank you for a wonderful lunch date. Lovely place! Beautiful atmosphere with the nursery surrounding you. Friendly faces as you walk through the front door. Very helpful staff! Food was absolutely delicious.

We were visiting from England and visited Basil & Bloom on three different occasions over the last two weeks. It really is a beautiful setting and the food was simply delicious. The breakfast was fantastic; the service was brilliant - nothing was too much to ask. Oh and if you like pizza - wow - baked in a pizza oven on a delicious thin base and loaded with interesting toppings - we highly recommend. Thank you Basil & Bloom staff for giving us some lovely memories to take back to England.

I had the pleasure of having lunch at Basil and Bloom. It is so quiet and peaceful for a place on Voortrekker road. Lovely garden, relaxing. The service was great, staff is well trained and the food was out of this world. If you are in or passing through Robertson - this is a place to stop at!! Lovely play area for kids. Perfect for parties. Basil and Bloom is a gem that needs to be treasured as we don't have any other places like this in Robertson. This place is worth 7/5

We had such a lovely time at Basil & Bloom. The food was delicious and the staff extremely friendly. If you choose to sit inside, you’ll be spoilt by beautiful interior and if you sit outside, you are surrounded by stunning plants and flowers on every side. Eating here was one of the highlights of our trip from the UK - well worth a visit at least once, or maybe more - lots of choice on the menu and worth going back for your second choice - we did and we were equally delighted.

We loved the nursery but the cafe part was not a great experience. We arrived at 9:10 as the first customers, the doors was still closed with an open sign in the door. We taped on the window where a waiter on his phone sat at one of the empty tables behind a big stack of empty pizza boxes, who waved at us to come in. Opposite of the buzz happening at Strictly Coffee next door. The breakfast options was also very limited. I asked if we could order a breakfast crossaint/muffin/frensh toast or just some egg on toast seeing that we don't eat meat and every option came with bacon. The waiter informed us that we can't. So after a while we figured out that maybe we can do the breakfast tramazini (tramazinis not listed on menu) but without bacon. That we could do... Isn't that just the egg on toast that we initially wanted to order? We obviously had to pay full prize. Church songs played very loadly in the cafe, not the ambiance you are looking for when relaxing outside between the plants. I really hope these things can be approved on since the setting is so beautiful. Service Dine in Meal type Breakfast Price per person R 100–150

Absolutely amazing place - we are visiting from England and were blown away by this incredible restaurant. The food was delicious - all of us loved the choices we made. We actually came twice in one weekend because it was so good the first time. We were equally delighted the second time. The waffles are incredible- I think we’ve almost tried every combination between us but, for me, the apple crumble waffle is an absolute winner. If you are passing through Robertson, you must stop here - the combination of delicious food, friendly staff and beautiful setting make this a truly sensational place. In fact don’t just go here if you are passing through - make the detour and seek this place out. Go out of your way to eat here - you won’t be disappointed. Service Dine in Meal type Lunch

Welldone to chef H and Poppie. The food , service and atmosphere were an feast for the senses. We have found Robertson's hidden gem and will be back asap for more
