I really enjoyed this bar! Amazing views of the beach, great food and drinks, very friendly staff! 100% recommended 😊! I will come back for sure! We were so lucky we saw orca whales from the bar 🐋

I live locally and have been a number of times. I found the view the best part of the experience and being in a great location seemed wasted as the quality of the venue has declined. Staff being more friendly and smiling would help instead of acting like they would rather be somewhere else. The quality of the food does not reflect good value for money either.

The view is good, but unfortunately that's the only positive about this place. The food was of average quality , small portions, overpriced and took a very long time to arrive. Had to order at the bar and then trying to make eye contact with the waiter was met with a death glare while other staff members sat around drinking and chatting. A very unfriendly environment that I will not be returning to!

Love the location and the atmosphere. The problem is it’s just way overpriced given the average service. 3 standard drinks and an orange juice $45? Then small bowl of fries $14. At those prices the Island is always going to win.

We’d previously been put off by the busyness of the Beach Bar, but as our table next door wasn’t ready yet we popped in for a drink whilst we waited. We got a spot in the window with the best view ever. But it was freezing with the windows and both outside doors open. My drink was lovely and well presented but there the good points stop. The noise is so deafening it’s almost impossible to have a conversation. I don’t understand how bars don’t consider their space in relation to the volume. There’s no soft furnishings, no carpet, drapes or any sound proofing to soak up the noise. It’s busy so people are chatting and laughing. People who get louder as they compete with the music and each other.
Now I appreciate we are older than the intended demographic. But we’re not dead yet. It wasn’t the music that was the issue, it was the volume. The Favourite Husband is slightly deaf (although that appears to be selective) and it was too loud for him. You’d have thought anything that drowned me out would have delighted him, but no.
It’s fair to say the person having the best night was the DJ.
As a local after yesterday's visit I am really disappointed at the level of service in particular. There is no hello when trying to order a drink from the bar, no eye contact, no recognition that you have been waiting for some time while others that were on bro terms got served before others as soon as they walked in. We ended up leaving and spending elsewhere. Real shame the arrogance of the staff in particular over the last 7 months or so who don't have that hospo x factor. Just too cool for school and havnt heard the term " time to lean, time to clean". Lots of staff on and dirty glasses all over the bar. No excuses.

Great atmosphere, delicious cocktails and friendly and attentive staff. Ladies night with live music is always fantastic. Fries were great but the rest of the menu is subpar. $19 for 3 little crostinis! Did leave me thinking I should just get a pizza from the island tbh.

Such a good place to have a beer after work. I come in here quite regularly and my favorite things about that place are the view, the atmosphere with the windows open and a light breeze in there and of cause the lovely stuff.
