This weekend my boyfriend and I were in this cute town for a small trip (with the dog 🐾). It was on our bucket list to get pizza from somewhere local, so we got carry out from this place last night, a large deluxe pizza and a garlic cheese bread, it was AMAZING! We woke up saying “that pizza last night was bomb” and even talked about it again on our way home! We might even plan another trip to this area next summer and we are 100% coming back to Big Johns Pizza!

It might look like a 1980s Pizza Hut, but it doesn't taste like a 1980s Pizza Hut. Trust me that's a good thing. Their sauce is delicious. The cheese abundant. Nor do they skimp on their toppings. At first glance they seem like a typical thin crust pizza place. That is until you see the crust. It's the thinnest crust I have ever seen. I'm not convinced it exists in three dimensions. Yet somehow it holds up to the sauce, cheese and toppings without wilting. It's crunchy and soft. My biggest complaint about the crust is that there isn't more of it! We have visited this business twice in the past 3 weeks because we have found a treasure in Whitehall! This pizza is one of the best we have ever had. We ordered the supreme on both dine-in visits and were not disappointed. The crust is so thin and crispy and the toppings were perfection on this unusual type of crust. We are only in town a month and we will look forward to our return visit next summer. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5

What a local treasure Big John's Pizza is! We ordered pizzas and did a few errands before picking them up. As we left to go get them and our rental car died. We called the owner to hold our pizza while we got this sorted and he came right over to help us out! He was generous and kind. After a long ordeal, we enjoyed our pizzas and were so thankful to have a wonderful angel to help us. Thank you Neal and Amy!! Ordered a pizza ahead of time, came in and got our drinks, just put in our straws and the pizza came out piping hot and ready to be devoured. The two of us were able to polish off all but three pieces. Nice experience for a local company, apparently been running since 1970! Will be back for more for sure!

We are visiting the area and chose a quick dinner option! They delivered quickly and directly to our hotel room which was great with having a young child and dogs in hand. We ordered the Thursday special 16” two topping (cheese/pepp) pizza and 2 liter for $19, added 16” BBQ chicken, and small order of cheese bread. Pizzas were thin crust style. We did not like the crust, it was not our tasting. The toppings of the BBQ chicken pizza was ample and tasty. The small order of cheese bread was like a small loaf of bread with cheese melted on it. Pizza was ok, customer service lacking, last time I was there they gave me the wrong pizza, this time they gave me the wrong size and then made me wait for a smaller one AND made me pay for that one also. I've been a fairly regular customer here with very good experiences, along with what I think is the best pizza in Whitehall. I would definitely highly recommend/suggest Big John's, especially for tourists that like a thin crust style pizza, subs, etc. Keep up the great work guys & gals.
