Roti canai still delicious as per my childhood taste. Used to have breakfast here frequently during my school time.
Service is bit slow possibly due to the crowd, but it seems you will get your order faster if the crew know you..

Nothing beats the original establishment. The quiet and relaxed atmosphere, coupled with kopitiam marble top tables and matching chairs, tend to evoke fond memories of the early '60s. And was always kept neat and tidy; very well managed by the owner himself then. ⭐⭐⭐⭐

Our second stop for the 3 Package Breakfast deal for the Party of 14 is...the evergreen Bismillah Restaurant. In arabic it means, "In the name of Allah", and this is also our recitation everytime before meals. For this trip, we had appointed the most senior member to lead and recite the Doa Makan, and he never failed us!👌😊
Amir straight away ordered 14 roti canai, one for each of us, but he openly declared that he himself would be doing the double...luckily Letty and me shared a roti canai and a paper tosei between us, thus the numbers are correct. Their specialty is definitely the mutton curry, which was served with some mutton meat as well, and we couldnt get enough of it!!!😋😋😋
Again, everybody gave a thumbs up,👍👍👍 to indicate their satisfaction...hence, the decision is final!! We would definitely come back for more, if we pass by this way again in the future...

A great place to have breakfast in Taiping. The Roti Canai are really good. Try the amazing Roti Banjir Telur Goyang. You can also have your Roti Canai with their mouth-watering Kari Kambing. There are Nasi Lemak Bungkus and Vadai too. Sometimes crowded, but you can always find a seat here. Good food, good price, I love Taiping!

We were lucky to get a table so quickly.
We went around 9 am. However by about ten am they were running outta roti for a while (they needed time to make more)
The roti was good. It was crispy yet soft and chewy. The curry and dhal combination was really good too.
Service is as what'd you'd expect at a busy place.
If you like roti canai. Visit the place.

Very typical mamak's restaurant - the environment n the type of food being served. Including roti canai, mamak's fried noodles n different types of curry.

Stopped by for breakfast after a walk in the Lake Gardens. Roti canai is served fresh from the grill and quite good.
(FYI: My Penangite foodie friend had negative comments about the chendol, so you might want to bear in mind.)
Lost it's mojo as one of the best roti canai restaurants around, used to go there regularly as a kid , when I came back and the taste lacked something, too many foreign workers as well

Nothing much left to describe the taste of the once famous roti canai place..Bismillah has lost the old charm and character. The dhall is too salty and watery.
