What's a trip to the mother city if you don't get some fried fish and chips. Located on the ground floor of the wharf complex (note to Red Bus Patrons, it's easy to miss on the first go, but not for long). Fairly busy, but quick service and tables are turned fast and cleaned too. Its a cafeteria style eating is nostalgic, as you pass through the line to collect your meal, you collect your condiments and cutlery. After a small wait, the hot and fresh fish and chips arrived and tasted great. Crisp battered fish and slap chips, winner. You could get a roll or two, but the single portion is fairly big and may feed 2 Visited here on a Sunday and treated to lovely live entertainment. Verdict: Stay away Chanced upon this restaurant when taking the citytourbus, and ordered the prawn & calamari combo box at R145 and a grilled fish at R85. The only acceptable item which worth 2 stars is the calamari. Fries is disgusting as it is soggy, soaked with oil, and under seasoned too. Fish is not fresh at all, and just to highlight on the small bones which might eat it unintentionally. Prawn is well fried but tasteless, no seasoning at all. Overall, the quality of the food just turn the whole dining experience nasty! Not worth wasting your time to come all the way here for the seafood.

Popular for a good reasonably priced fish & chip in informal outdoor setting with great views. The quality of the meal offering has been consistent over many years. On weekends and holidays you are likely to encounter notable queues but the kitchen staff still are able to fill orders in approx 15mins...without compromising on quality. Worth a try ....you'll be back. Do keep a close eye on handbags...there are signs up warning to that effect - opportunistic theft tends to creep in at busier hubs.

Fish and chips were okay. Not bad but not great. Prefer the one down the street personally. People probably just come here more mainly for the scenery and alcohol

Dont go here for sea food. Been there 3 times over the past years and each time the fish was not fresh. Pity. Take a photo with the seal and rather go to Snoekies up the road for fish.
