Pleasantly surprised with this place. Food was amazing…crab dip and Chicago steak sandwich. Sandwich was very tender and full of flavor. The Irish Apple Old Fashion was delicious. The service was phenomenal. Cannot say enough good things about this place! Will be back in town in 2 weeks and will definitely be back! Our 1st time here. Oysters are excellent, very clean. Dave loved the corn bread. Waitress was always checking on us to see if we needed anything. Beer was nice and cold And our food came out hot. We had the ribs and bongo chicken. Definitely coming back again. Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Incredible food. Absolute perfection. Clams Casino is divine. The House Made Linguine is incredible. The Oysters were spot on. The staff is great. They are friendly and attentive and make you feel right at home. I wish we had one in my hometown. I used to absolutely love BJs... what a shame. I wish I would have checked the reviews prior to wasting our time and money. The staff were very professional and welcoming; our food was disgusting. For starters, we ordered clams casino, jumbo gulf shrimp (review pics for a laugh) and raw oysters. All 3 were gross. The clams casino was barely a clam but somehow we ended up chewing on shell pieces. The oysters were awful. Now for our entrees, my son got the salmon.. don't, just don't. I got the bongo bongo burger. It was on a stale bun and was small and overcooked. My husband thought the same about his burger. The sides were equally as bad. I swear my baked beans were raw and had a terrible smoked flavor. French fries were gross.... how can you not even get French fries right? The best part of our meal was my daughter's Mac and cheese. So I guess if you go, stick with the kids meals????? We were all disappointed and although we didn't complain, we will not be returning. Ever. Save your money. NOT worth the $150 we spent. Well, let’s start with saying that our waitress was great! But that is where the positives end. The dining area is so small and set up strangely. Next, it took over two hours to get our meals. And others around us who came later, were served before we were. Then when we FINALLY got our food, it was mediocre at best. I asked for my steak medium rare and it was well done. But after waiting so long for our food there was no way I was sending it back. The waitress offered us free dessert for the wait, but at this point we had waited so long that we were not about to wait for dessert. In my opinion, we should have had our drinks comped. We did spend a lot on drinks since we had been waiting for so long and to us having our drinks comped would make more sense. No one wanted dessert after all of this. Very disappointing experience. 😑 Food: 2 Service: 4 Atmosphere: 1

Service was impeccable. The food was delicious. Sirloin steak was a little tough, but while seasoned scallops were done to perfection, good Caesar salad, and of course, the espresso martini topped it all off. Meal type Dinner Price per person $30–50 Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
Haven’t been to BJ’s in a long time so me and my GF decided to come and check it out.We got placed in this new room and it was decorated really nice! I really like the environment. Crab dip (9/10): Really good! The crab dip had great taste, but not much lump. The bread that accommodates it was really good too. Top 3 best crab dip I’d had. Korean Short Rib (8/10): Really good with good flavors. It wasn’t as soft as short rib can get, but it was still tender. For $30, I don’t think this meal is worth it. 3 pieces of short rip that’s about 2-3 inches, just isn’t worth it for me. Short rib isn’t really an expensive cut, so I didn’t find this meal worth it. The mashed potatoes it was over easy very good, but shallow. I think it was a good meal, and it was a good experience having it, but I can’t get behind spending $30 for it. I can’t say too much about the French onion soup and the oysters since I haven’t had too much of them previously Overall, I like the new atmosphere. The staff is extremely nice here and I’ll be coming back for sure

We came with friends for a nice night out. For appetizers, we tried the bongo bongo and Chesapeake crab dips, and both were very good. Then, my husband and I each had a bowl of French onion soup. It was very light on onions and heavy on salt, but we ate it as it wasn't completely inedible. Three of us got smokehouse salads. Nice portion and presentation, but my friend's had almost no dressing, and mine was drowning in it. The homemade bacon bits would have been better if cooked just a little more, and everyone's croutons were burnt. Again, we ate because, for the most part, it wasn't inedible except the croutons, but our opinions were not very good either. Main courses, 2 steak meals, both ordered medium rare, one was closer to medium well and the other border line medium but flavor was good baked potato and mashed for the other both good choices. Chesapeake salmon with broccoli was good. Then there were the scallops and asparagus. The presentation was very nice, portion perfect and perfectly cooked but so over salted I couldn't eat them and the asparagus was old and tough. The salt actually burned my throat. I asked the others to try a bit to make sure it wasn't just me. Everyone agreed on too much salt. I had to return the meal. Our server was pleasant but seemed either a little inexperienced or overwhelmed, but she tried very hard to make everything right, kudos to her. For the atmosphere, our booth was right next to the kitchen, lots of traffic going by. For the prices, we all expected better overall. Valentine's day bust! Took my hubby to his choice for dinner. He choose BJ's Danville. Big mistake... Fried chicken sandwich was blah very dry!. Bun was hard(tried to cover it by grilling it). Ribs were charcoal meat in the bone. Bongo Bingo is like eating a salt lick! So the only upside was the sides. My forgotten Fries, Caesar salad and clam chowder was good be cause we were hungry. New Manager has her work cut out for her. We won't be back. 🙊 Over priced. No not level meals. Cold at the bar from door opening. Seated a couple that walked in like us just after we were told there was no seating at the tables. 😡 Service Dine in Meal type Dinner Price per person $50–100 Food: 2 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 2 Recommended dishes Clam Chowder

When I visit Danville, BJ's is my go-to dinner spot. Located on Mill Street, the town's main street, they're. Open until 10 p.m. most nights. The large menu has something for everyone. The oysters and other items from the raw bar are always great (their cocktail sauce is some of the best ever. The Smokehouse salad awesome (get the Bleu cheese crumbles!). Service is always good and friendly enough.
